SRW2048-K9 is the SG300-52 managed Gigabit switch, combining 50 dedicated copper ports with two copper/SFP combo interfaces. Each combo interface supports one active connection, allowing copper or fiber connectivity without adding another independent port. This non-PoE member of the Small Business 300 family provides Layer 2 switching and static IPv4 routing, classified here as Layer 2+. The configuration serves externally powered equipment rather than endpoints requiring switch-delivered power. The discontinued SG300-52P-K9 differs by adding 48 PoE+ ports with a shared 375W budget. For an existing SG300 installation, the full purchasing identifier distinguishes the required hardware from similarly named older equipment.

104 Gbps switching capacity and 77.38 Mpps forwarding provide the published performance limits for traffic sizing. 512 static IPv4 routes support manually configured routing between network segments; routing requirements must remain within that static feature set. STP, RSTP, and MSTP support loop prevention, while LACP supports aggregated connections. SRW2048-K9 carries 128 MB of DRAM and 16 MB of flash for its embedded software and stored configuration. The browser interface supports HTTP/HTTPS, and the full or menu-based CLI provides another configuration path. Dual software images support firmware-upgrade preparation without making the switch a redundant control-plane system. 45.9W worst-case consumption at 110V provides a planning figure for branch-circuit or UPS allocation; the corresponding published figure at 220V is 45.3W.
ORM Systems supplies SRW2048-K9 new sealed or certified refurbished; refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, every port linking at its rated speed, clean boot, and optics bay recognition, with firmware verified and configuration wiped to factory default. Specify the required condition on the purchase order: ORM's new-unit warranty extends up to 3 years, certified refurbished coverage extends up to 1 year, and 30-day returns apply to every condition, subject to terms. Cisco's former limited lifetime hardware coverage ended October 31, 2023. For enterprise and volume orders, POs are accepted, Net-30 is available for government, and RMA includes advance replacement, with regional stock and RMA handling across the UK, EU, US, and MEA.

When reorganizing existing workgroup VLANs, the switch supports 128 IP interfaces across physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces, or loopback interfaces. A larger interface plan exceeds that limit. Confirm the required interface count and routing configuration before placing the hardware on the purchase order.
When staging packet captures before changing an existing network, the switch can mirror eight source ports to one destination within a single session. That constraint affects tests spanning several traffic sources. Specify the capture destination and required source-port selection before finalizing the purchase order.
10G uplinks to distribution
SRW2048-K9 provides Gigabit combo interfaces rather than 10G uplinks. A deployment requiring a native 10G distribution connection needs different switching hardware.
Switch-powered phones and access points
SRW2048-K9 does not supply PoE. Endpoints that depend on Ethernet-delivered power require a PoE-capable switch or a separately specified endpoint power arrangement.
Active Cisco service coverage
Cisco service for SRW2048-K9 ended October 31, 2023. C1300-48T-4G ends the replacement chain and changes connectivity to 48 copper ports with four dedicated SFP uplinks.

SRW2048-K9 identifies the SG300-52 managed Gigabit model with 50 dedicated copper ports and two combo interfaces. SG300-52 is the model name, while SRW2048-K9 is the purchasing identifier. Use the complete identifier when matching replacement hardware rather than selecting equipment by the SRW2048 portion alone.
SRW2048-K9 supports browser-based HTTP/HTTPS management, a full or menu-based CLI, console access, and SSH/Telnet management. The Small Business 300 family also supports Cisco Small Business FindIT Network and Cisco OnPlus integration. These legacy integration capabilities do not restore the switch's ended Cisco service coverage.
SRW2048-K9 is discontinued: sales ended October 4, 2018, and Cisco support ended October 31, 2023. Software maintenance ended October 4, 2019. The replacement chain continues beyond the discontinued SG350-52-K9-NA and CBS350-48T-4G-NA to C1300-48T-4G, rather than stopping at either intermediate model.
ORM Systems offers SRW2048-K9 new sealed with up to a 3-year extended warranty or certified refurbished with up to a 1-year warranty. Returns are accepted for 30 days on every condition; terms apply. Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty and Cisco service ended October 31, 2023.
The SG300-52 supports MGBSX1 for Gigabit multimode fiber and MGBLX1 for Gigabit single-mode fiber. MGBSX1 has a published maximum distance of 300 m, while MGBLX1 reaches 10 km. Each combo interface activates either its copper connection or its SFP connection, not both simultaneously.
SRW2048-K9 supports static IPv4 routing with a maximum of 512 static routes and 128 IP interfaces. Interfaces can be assigned to physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLANs, or loopbacks. This is a static-routing configuration, so requirements for automatic route exchange need different hardware capabilities.
The SG300-52 requires a 1U rack position and measures 440 mm wide, 44.45 mm high, and 257 mm deep. Those chassis dimensions should be checked against the intended cabinet before ordering, with additional space reserved for the installed connections and their cable routing.
SG300-52P-K9 adds 48 PoE+ ports with a shared 375W budget, whereas SRW2048-K9 supplies data connectivity without PoE. Both belong to the retired Small Business 300 family. The powered model addresses legacy endpoint-power requirements; SRW2048-K9 addresses matching installations where connected equipment already has its own power.
SRW2048-K9 has 50 dedicated Gigabit copper ports, while SRW2024-K9 has 26; both add two combo interfaces. Both models are discontinued members of the Small Business 300 family. SRW2048-K9 addresses higher-density legacy replacements, while SRW2024-K9 addresses existing installations that require fewer dedicated copper connections.
C1300-48T-4G provides four dedicated 1G SFP uplinks, while SRW2048-K9 provides two SFP interfaces shared with copper combo connections. C1300-48T-4G also has 48 dedicated copper ports rather than 50. The current replacement-chain endpoint addresses refresh orders; the discontinued SRW2048-K9 addresses matching legacy hardware requirements.
