SG300-10MPP-K9-EU is a fanless, managed desktop switch with eight Gigabit PoE+ access ports and two fixed Gigabit combo uplinks. Its Layer 2+ capabilities combine Ethernet switching with static IPv4 routing for small-business networks connecting computers, IP phones and wireless access points. Each combo uplink provides a choice between copper and SFP connectivity, with one connection active per pair. The SG300-10MPP belongs to the Cisco 300 Series and uses an external AC adapter rather than an internal power supply. Compared with the discontinued SG300-10PP-K9-EU, this model provides a larger aggregate PoE budget. The hardware is also discontinued, so purchasing decisions should distinguish an existing installation's replacement requirement from a new deployment requiring current Cisco support.

20 Gbps switching capacity supports nonblocking operation across the available connections, while 14.88 Mpps forwarding performance applies to minimum-size Ethernet packets. 124W of shared PoE capacity must be allocated across the powered endpoints rather than treated as a separate allowance for each port. Static IPv4 routing supports 512 routes for explicitly configured paths between networks. SG300-10MPP-K9-EU carries 128 MB of DRAM and 16 MB of flash for its management software and configuration storage. The address table accommodates 16384 MAC entries, while 4096 simultaneous VLANs provide segmentation options. An 8 Mb dynamically shared packet buffer serves traffic across the ports. STP, RSTP and MSTP provide spanning-tree controls, and LACP supports link aggregation. Browser management uses HTTP or HTTPS; administrators can also use the CLI and SNMP. The fixed uplinks do not provide a 10G upgrade path.
SG300-10MPP-K9-EU is offered new sealed or certified refurbished; refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, rated-speed links, clean boot, PoE output under load on every powered port, optics bay recognition and rated adapter output, with firmware verified and configuration wiped to factory default. ORM's warranty is up to a 3-year extended term for new units or up to 1 year for certified refurbished units, with 30-day returns on every condition, terms apply; Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty ended May 31, 2023. Specify the condition, adapter, regional power cord and required optics on the purchase order. For enterprise and volume orders, POs are accepted, Net-30 is available for government, and RMA includes advance replacement across UK, EU, US and MEA operations.

When a small office needs communication between segmented networks, 128 IP interfaces can be assigned across physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces and loopbacks. Map each subnet and gateway before purchase, then check the interface plan against the required configuration and include staging requirements on the PO.
When replacement hardware must be prepared before a maintenance window, dual firmware images and text-editable configuration files support a defined staging procedure. Record the approved image and configuration revision, preserve the existing configuration separately, and specify the required acceptance checks before releasing the replacement order.
10G uplinks to distribution
SG300-10MPP-K9-EU provides Gigabit combo uplinks only. Its fixed uplink connections cannot deliver 10G, and there is no removable uplink card that changes that limit.
Current Cisco service coverage
Cisco service for SG300-10MPP-K9-EU ended May 31, 2023. C1300-8FP-2G is the current migration endpoint after the discontinued SG350 and CBS350 replacements.
Four independent uplink connections
The two combo uplinks each share a copper connection with an SFP connection. Only one side of each pair operates at a time, permitting two simultaneous uplinks.

SG300-10MPP-K9-EU identifies the Gigabit Maximum PoE+ managed model in the Small Business 300 family. The 10-port configuration comprises eight powered copper access ports and two combo uplinks; MPP distinguishes Maximum PoE+. SG300-10MPP is the model name, while SG300-10MPP-K9-EU is the complete ordering identifier.
SG300-10MPP-K9-EU supports a browser interface over HTTP or HTTPS, CLI access through the serial console, SSH or Telnet, and SNMP versions 1, 2c and 3. The Small Business 300 family also includes legacy integration with Cisco Small Business FindIT Network and Cisco OnPlus.
Yes, SG300-10MPP-K9-EU is discontinued, and Cisco support ended May 31, 2023. End of sale occurred May 10, 2018, followed by the last shipment milestone on August 10, 2018. New sealed stock does not restart these milestones or restore Cisco service eligibility for the hardware.
ORM Systems offers SG300-10MPP-K9-EU new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units. Returns are 30 days on every condition; terms apply. Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty ended with Cisco service on May 31, 2023.
SG300-10MPP-K9-EU provides a shared 124W PoE budget across eight Gigabit PoE+ access ports. The budget is an aggregate allowance, not power reserved independently for every connector. Endpoint power requirements therefore need to be added together when sizing phones, wireless access points and other powered equipment.
The SG300-10MPP provides two Gigabit SFP connections within its combo uplinks, with MGBSX1 supporting multimode fiber and MGBLX1 supporting single-mode fiber. Each SFP connection shares its logical port with a copper connection. Using fiber on a combo pair prevents simultaneous use of that pair's copper connection.
Yes, SG300-10MPP-K9-EU supports static IPv4 routing, with 512 static routes and 128 IP interfaces. Interfaces can be associated with physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLANs or loopbacks. Routing paths require explicit configuration, so the subnet and gateway plan should be established before replacing an existing routed configuration.
Yes, the SG300-10MPP desktop model can be installed using its included mounting kit, although its 279.4 mm chassis width makes it a desktop unit rather than a full-width rack chassis. The enclosure measures 44.45 mm high and 170 mm deep, so mounting hardware must accompany the unit.
SG300-10MPP-K9-EU uses an external AC adapter accepting 100-240V AC input. The adapter is separate from the desktop enclosure, so the order should identify the supplied adapter and destination power cord. Maximum published consumption including PoE is 145.7W, which is distinct from the available endpoint power budget.
SG300-10MPP-K9-EU replaces the discontinued SRW2008MP-K9-EU, also named SG300-10MP. The older model provides Maximum PoE, whereas the replacement adds Maximum PoE+ while retaining a 124W endpoint power budget. Existing equipment records should distinguish the SRW ordering identifier from the SG model name when identifying legacy replacements.
SG300-10MPP-K9-EU provides a 124W PoE budget, while SG300-10PP-K9-EU provides 62W across its powered ports. Both models support PoE+ and are discontinued. For existing installations, the MPP model accommodates a larger aggregate endpoint load; the PP model corresponds to installations requiring the smaller shared power allowance.
SG300-28PP-K9-EU has 26 copper access ports, compared with eight on SG300-10MPP-K9-EU. Both models are discontinued, so this is a legacy density comparison rather than a current-generation recommendation. The smaller model fits an eight-connection access requirement; the larger model serves existing installations needing more copper access connections.
C1300-8FP-2G is the current migration endpoint, while SG300-10MPP-K9-EU has passed its last date of Cisco support. The migration chain passes through the discontinued SG350-10MP-K9-EU and CBS350-8FP-E-2G-EU. Existing hardware-matching requirements favor the legacy unit; new purchases requiring a current Cisco model should specify the migration endpoint.
