SRW2024P-K9-EU is a managed Gigabit PoE switch with 24 powered access ports, two dedicated Gigabit copper uplinks, and two additional Gigabit combo connections offering copper or SFP connectivity. Each combo connection supports one active medium at a time. The rack-mount chassis belongs to the Cisco Small Business 300 family and supports Layer 2 switching with static IPv4 routing, placing it in the Layer 2+ category rather than a dynamic-routing enterprise tier. The SG300-28P serves wired computers alongside compatible IP phones, wireless access points, and surveillance endpoints. Its fixed uplink arrangement accepts transceivers without requiring an uplink expansion card. The discontinued SRW2024-K9 sibling provides comparable Gigabit connectivity without endpoint power. This model supplies original PoE, not PoE+, so endpoint power requirements remain a purchasing constraint.

56 Gbps switching capacity provides nonblocking forwarding across the built-in connections. 41.67 Mpps forwarding performance applies to 64-byte packets, distinguishing packet-processing throughput from aggregate bandwidth. 180W of shared PoE output must cover the combined allocation to powered endpoints rather than being treated as a per-port allowance. Static IPv4 routing supports local communication between subnets without introducing a dynamic-routing control plane. SRW2024P-K9-EU contains 128 MB of memory and 16 MB of flash for its embedded software and configuration. An aggregate 8 Mb packet buffer is dynamically shared across the ports. STP, RSTP, MSTP, and LACP support loop control and link aggregation; DHCP snooping and Dynamic ARP Inspection provide additional access controls. The Cisco 300 Series also supports IPv6 host management and IPv6 access control lists, but that capability is distinct from IPv6 routing. Two fans provide active cooling, so this is not a fanless installation option.
ORM Systems offers SRW2024P-K9-EU new sealed or certified refurbished; specify the condition and required accessories on the purchase order. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with every powered port's PoE output verified under load, firmware verified, and configuration wiped to factory default. New units carry up to a 3-year extended warranty, certified refurbished units up to 1 year, and every condition includes 30-day returns, terms apply; Cisco service ended April 30, 2020. PO purchasing, Net-30 for government, and RMA with advance replacement are available, with regional stock and RMA coverage across the UK, EU, US, and MEA; identify quantities and regional requirements for enterprise or volume orders.

An existing SRW2024P-EU installation creates a replacement purchase where the newer order identifier matters. The replacement hardware uses the SG300-28P model name rather than the older WebView identity. Before issuing the PO, compare the existing configuration, endpoint requirements, and physical connections instead of assuming that similarly named units are interchangeable.
A repeat purchase across several offices can use text-editable configuration files and secure configuration transfer rather than rebuilding each setup manually. The command-line interface supports privilege levels 1, 7, and 15. Specify the administrative roles, configuration template, and staging process before releasing a multi-unit purchase order.
A staging purchase for reproducing an existing network can use port mirroring to inspect traffic before hardware enters service. A single mirroring session accepts as many as eight source ports. Dual software images also support upgrade staging. Confirm the required capture connections and retained software image before specifying the order.
10G uplinks to distribution
The built-in uplinks operate at Gigabit speeds, and the chassis has no removable uplink expansion card. A requirement for individual 10G connections exceeds this model's connectivity.
30W power for individual endpoints
The powered ports support original PoE with a 15.4W per-port maximum, not 30W PoE+. Devices requiring higher switch-supplied power need a different power arrangement.
Active Cisco hardware support
Cisco service ended April 30, 2020. For a current-generation replacement purchase rather than continued use of unsupported hardware, consider C1300-24P-4G, the current migration endpoint.

SRW2024P-K9-EU identifies the SG300-28P, a 28-port Gigabit PoE managed switch in the Cisco Small Business 300 family. The SRW2024P-K9 hardware configuration comprises 24 powered access ports, two dedicated Gigabit copper uplinks, and two Gigabit combo uplinks that share copper and SFP connections.
SRW2024P-K9-EU supports an HTTP/HTTPS web interface, full and menu-based CLI access through the console or SSH/Telnet, and SNMP versions 1, 2c, and 3. Its software also includes Cisco FindIT Network and Cisco OnPlus integration. These management interfaces are separate from its Ethernet forwarding connections.
SRW2024P-K9-EU is discontinued: end of sale was April 27, 2015, and Cisco support ended April 30, 2020. Its immediate replacement, SG300-28PP-K9-EU, is also discontinued. The migration chain proceeds through later discontinued models to C1300-24P-4G, rather than ending at that first replacement.
ORM offers SRW2024P-K9-EU new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units. Both conditions include 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty no longer provides service: Cisco support ended April 30, 2020.
SRW2024P-K9-EU replaces SRW2024P-EU, the earlier 24-port Gigabit WebView PoE switch. The replacement uses the SG300-28P model identity and a different connection arrangement. Matching the complete order identifier matters when replacing installed hardware because the older WebView product and the Small Business 300 model are not the same unit.
SRW2024P-K9-EU provides a shared 180W PoE budget across 24 powered ports, with a maximum of 15.4W on an individual port. The total budget cannot supply every powered port at its individual maximum simultaneously. Endpoint allocations must fit the shared budget, and this model does not provide PoE+.
The SG300-28P supports MGBSX1 for Gigabit multimode fiber and MGBLX1 for Gigabit single-mode fiber, among its supported SFP choices. These transceivers occupy the combo uplink cages. Activating a fiber connection uses the corresponding shared connection, so its paired copper port cannot operate at the same time.
SRW2024P-K9-EU supports static IPv4 routing between VLANs, with capacity for 512 static routes and 128 IP interfaces. This is static routing rather than a dynamic-routing feature tier. Routed interfaces can use physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces, or loopback interfaces, depending on the configured operating mode.
The SG300-28P uses a 440 mm-wide rack-mount chassis with two fans and an operating temperature range of 0°C to 40°C. Its chassis is 44.45 mm high and 257 mm deep. Active cooling means the installation must accommodate fan airflow and fan noise rather than assume silent desktop operation.
SRW2024P-K9-EU supplies PoE to its access ports, while SRW2024-K9 is the non-PoE SG300-28 configuration. Both belong to the discontinued Small Business 300 family. The powered model addresses existing installations with compatible Ethernet-powered endpoints; the non-PoE version addresses connections where endpoint power comes from another source.
SRW2024P-K9-EU has a 180W endpoint-power budget, while SG300-28MP-K9 provides 375W. Both are discontinued Small Business 300 configurations, so this comparison concerns legacy replacement requirements. The lower-budget model fits an existing allocation within 180W; the higher-budget model accommodates a larger combined endpoint-power allocation.
SRW2024P-K9-EU has two dedicated Gigabit copper uplinks and two Gigabit copper/SFP combo uplinks, while C1300-24P-4G has four dedicated Gigabit SFP uplinks. The discontinued model preserves its original mixed-media connection arrangement; the current migration endpoint suits purchases specifying four separate fiber uplink connections.
