SG300-10MPP-K9-UK combines fanless operation with eight 10/100/1000 PoE+ access ports and two fixed Gigabit copper/SFP combo uplinks in a desktop chassis. The Small Business 300 series serves managed office networks connecting computers, IP phones and wireless access points, with Layer 2+ switching for a small-business access role. Each combo uplink uses either its copper connector or its SFP cage, not both simultaneously. The discontinued SG300-10PP-K9 carries a 62W PoE allowance; this Max PoE+ configuration carries the larger shared allowance. Cisco SG300-10MPP hardware uses an external AC adapter rather than internal redundant power modules. VLAN and access control functions provide configuration tools for separating endpoint traffic and defining permitted communication, while the fixed uplink arrangement keeps the purchase focused on the required media rather than removable network cards.

20 Gbps switching capacity supports wire-speed, nonblocking forwarding across the available Ethernet connections. 14.88 Mpps forwarding performance applies to 64-byte packets, keeping packet-rate sizing distinct from link bandwidth. 124W of shared PoE capacity limits the total allocation to attached powered devices; individual port capability does not guarantee maximum output across every connection simultaneously. Static IPv4 routing provides manually configured paths between networks. SG300-10MPP-K9-UK has 128 MB of DRAM and 16 MB of flash for embedded switching software and configuration storage. An 8 Mb packet buffer is dynamically shared across all ports rather than reserved per connection. Administrative access to the Cisco 300 Series includes a web interface, a full CLI over SSH or Telnet, and SNMP. STP, RSTP, MSTP and LACP cover loop control and link aggregation, while four hardware queues support strict-priority or weighted round-robin scheduling. 145.7W worst-case consumption with PoE sets the electrical allowance for full-load power planning.
Order SG300-10MPP-K9-UK as new sealed or certified refurbished, and confirm the included adapter and mounting hardware on the PO. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with PoE output verified under load on every powered port and optics bay recognition checked; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. ORM Systems provides new units with up to a 3-year extended warranty and certified refurbished units with up to 1 year, plus 30-day returns on every condition, terms apply; Cisco warranty and service ended May 31, 2023. Enterprise and volume orders support POs, Net-30 for government and RMA with advance replacement, with regional stock and RMA across the UK, EU, US and MEA.

When replacing locally powered phones or access points, endpoint demands determine how many powered links can be populated. Each enabled PoE+ port can supply 30W, but allocations share the switch's total power allowance. List each device's requested power and simultaneous demand before approving endpoint quantities on the PO.
When a replacement must reproduce an existing security policy, the 512-rule ACL ceiling defines what can be staged on this switch. Review source and destination filters and rate limits against the current configuration rather than assuming the entire policy will fit. Specify the rule count and test configuration before approving the replacement PO.
When several offices need the same startup configuration, DHCP autoconfiguration and TFTP provide a file-based staging path. The switch must be able to reach the required configuration server during provisioning. Define address assignment, configuration files and the management access method for each site, then include the staging requirements on the purchase order.
10G uplinks to distribution
Fixed uplinks stop at 1G, and no removable uplink card adds faster ports. The switch cannot provide a 10G distribution connection.
Maximum PoE+ output on every port
The 124W shared allowance is below the combined demand of eight ports drawing 30W each. Full per-port output cannot be sustained simultaneously.
Ongoing Cisco hardware service
Cisco service ended on May 31, 2023. C1300-8FP-2G is the current migration endpoint with eight Gigabit access ports and two Gigabit combo uplinks.

SG300-10MPP-K9-UK identifies the 10-port Gigabit Max PoE+ managed switch. SG300 identifies the Gigabit 300 family; 10 includes eight access ports and two combo uplinks; MPP identifies Maximum PoE+. K9 belongs to the base ordering identifier, while -UK distinguishes this regional ordering form.
The Small Business 300 series is managed through a web interface, a full CLI and SNMP, with remote CLI access over SSH or Telnet. Browser-based configuration and text-based administration provide separate access paths. Select the permitted management methods and administrative access settings before staging the switch.
SG300-10MPP-K9-UK is discontinued: end of sale was May 10, 2018, and Cisco support ended May 31, 2023. Residual new sealed inventory and certified refurbished units do not change these milestones. Purchases for installed bases must therefore be distinguished from purchases requiring ongoing Cisco product service.
ORM Systems offers SG300-10MPP-K9-UK new sealed with up to a 3-year extended warranty, or certified refurbished with up to 1 year. Both conditions have 30-day returns, terms apply. Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty included next-business-day advance replacement where available; Cisco warranty and service ended May 31, 2023.
SG300-10MPP-K9-UK provides 124W shared across eight PoE+ ports, with 30W available on an individual powered port. Eight connections requesting the per-port maximum exceed the total allowance. Size against the sum of endpoint power allocations rather than assuming all powered ports can operate at their maximum rating together.
SG300-10MPP-K9-UK supports MGBSX1 for Gigabit multimode fiber connections up to 300 m and MGBLX1 for Gigabit single-mode fiber connections up to 10 km. Its two SFP cages share their logical ports with copper connectors. Specify matching optics and fiber; copper and SFP cannot operate simultaneously within one combo pair.
No, SG300-10MPP-K9-UK uses an external AC adapter accepting 100-240V AC rather than internal redundant power modules. The adapter belongs to the original desktop package. Specify a complete power set on the order, because a second internal power supply cannot be added to this chassis later.
Yes, SG300-10MPP-K9-UK supports static IPv4 routing after selecting Layer 3 system mode. Routes are configured manually rather than learned through dynamic routing protocols. Plan the network interfaces and next-hop entries before deployment, and use a separate routing design when routes must adapt to network changes automatically.
SG300-10MPP-K9-UK is a desktop switch measuring 279.4 mm wide, 44.45 mm high and 170 mm deep. The original package includes mounting hardware for desktop models. For a replacement order, specify whether the required mounting kit and serial cable must be included alongside the external power adapter.
SG300-10MPP-K9-UK has 124W of PoE capacity, while SG300-10PP-K9 has 62W. Both retain eight powered Gigabit access ports and two Gigabit combo uplinks. Both are discontinued; the higher-budget model addresses greater endpoint allocation, while the lower-budget model matches existing installations whose total power requirement stays within 62W.
SG300-10MPP-K9-UK uses an external AC adapter, whereas SG300-28PP-K9 uses an internal universal AC supply. Both are discontinued members of the Small Business 300 series. The external-adapter model matches desktop replacements retaining separate power conversion; the internal-supply model matches existing installations requiring AC power directly into the switch.
SG300-10MPP-K9-UK has passed its last date of Cisco support, whereas C1300-8FP-2G is the current migration endpoint. The replacement path passes through the discontinued SG350-10MP-K9-UK and CBS350-8FP-E-2G-UK. The older model suits matching an installed base; C1300-8FP-2G suits buyers specifying the current replacement rather than continuing with retired hardware.
