SRW2016-K9-UK is a fanless, managed Gigabit Ethernet switch for small-business access networks. Its 16 copper access ports connect endpoints, while two additional copper uplinks and two copper/SFP combo uplinks provide fixed Gigabit connections toward the rest of the network. Each combo pair shares one logical connection, so its copper socket and SFP cage cannot operate simultaneously. The Cisco SG300-20 provides Layer 2+ operation in a full-width rack chassis and belongs to the Cisco 300 Series of Small Business switches. Unlike the discontinued SRW2024P-K9, this model supplies no PoE output. The fixed-port design has no uplink card bay, so changing the copper-to-fiber mix uses the combo connections rather than a removable network module.

40 Gbps switching capacity supports aggregate traffic across the unit, while 29.76 Mpps forwarding performance defines its packet-processing capability. Static IPv4 routing supports communication between subnets without dynamic route learning, with 32 static routes available. SRW2016-K9-UK carries 128 MB of DRAM and 16 MB of flash for its embedded software and configuration storage. An 8000-entry MAC table supports address learning, while the 4 Mb packet buffer is dynamically shared across ports. STP, RSTP and MSTP control spanning-tree behavior, and LACP supports aggregated links. Four hardware queues and strict-priority or weighted round-robin scheduling provide traffic classification and forwarding treatment. RADIUS and TACACS+ support authenticated administration, while access control lists filter traffic by addressing and protocol fields. 23.3W maximum consumption provides a power-planning figure at 220V AC; the internal universal supply connects directly to AC mains rather than requiring an external adapter.
ORM Systems offers SRW2016-K9-UK new sealed or certified refurbished, with an extended warranty of up to 3 years on new units or up to 1 year on certified refurbished units, plus 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. Refurbished managed units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, rated-speed links on every port, clean boot, optics bay recognition and PSU status, with firmware verified and configuration wiped to factory default. Specify condition, quantity and delivery region on the PO. Enterprise and volume orders can use PO acceptance, government Net-30 and RMA with advance replacement, with regional stock/RMA in UK, EU, US and MEA; Cisco service and its original limited lifetime hardware warranty ended October 31, 2023.

An office separating departments into IP subnets needs to size logical interfaces before reusing existing hardware. The SG300-20 supports 32 IP interfaces, which places a separate limit on the addressing plan. Count interface addresses and map each required subnet before placing the purchase order.
When several small sites need matching configurations, text-editable configuration files let an administrator prepare settings before shipment. DHCP Options 66, 67, 82, 129 and 150 support addressing and configuration workflows. Identify the provisioning server and approved configuration file, then specify the staging requirements on the purchase order.
A lab validating an existing configuration can mirror traffic to an analyzer through a designated switch port. One mirroring session accepts up to eight source ports and sends their traffic to one destination port. Reserve the analyzer connection and identify the source ports before ordering the lab unit.

SRW2016-K9-UK is the regional ordering identifier for the Cisco SG300-20 20-port Gigabit managed switch. SRW2016-K9 identifies the hardware, while -UK distinguishes this ordering form. The 20 logical connections comprise 16 access ports, two dedicated copper uplinks and two copper/SFP combo uplinks; 2016 is not the total usable port count.
SRW2016-K9-UK supports browser management over HTTP or HTTPS, TextView CLI access through the console or SSH/Telnet, and SNMP versions 1, 2c and 3. The SG300-20 also supports RMON monitoring and text-editable configuration files. Use HTTPS or SSH for encrypted management, and SNMP for monitoring integration.
SRW2016-K9-UK is discontinued: Cisco ended sales on October 4, 2018, and support on October 31, 2023. Cisco software maintenance ended on October 4, 2019. Existing units can still operate, but a new or refurbished purchase does not restart the ended Cisco service lifecycle.
ORM Systems offers SRW2016-K9-UK new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on refurbished units. Both conditions have 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty and Cisco service ended October 31, 2023.
SRW2016-K9-UK has 20 logical Gigabit Ethernet ports: 16 access ports, two dedicated copper uplinks and two copper/SFP combo uplinks. Each combo connection offers a copper socket and an SFP cage, but only one can operate at a time. The additional physical cages do not increase the logical port count.
No, SRW2016-K9-UK does not supply PoE to connected devices. Phones, cameras and wireless access points attached to the SG300-20 need independent operating power. Its internal AC supply powers the switch itself; that supply does not create an endpoint-power budget for the Ethernet ports.
SRW2016-K9-UK supports 1G fiber uplinks using SFP transceivers such as MGBSX1 for multimode fiber or MGBLX1 for single-mode fiber. The two cages are combo connections shared with copper ports, not 10G slots. Specify the fiber type, link length and remote optical interface when selecting the transceivers.
The Cisco SG300-20 provides Layer 2+ functionality through static IPv4 routing, with up to 32 static routes and 32 IP interfaces. The switch can route subnet traffic, but sizing must respect both limits. A design requiring dynamic route learning needs different routing hardware rather than an additional software tier.
Yes, SRW2016-K9-UK is a full-width, Rack-Mount 1U switch measuring 440 mm wide, 44.45 mm high and 202.5 mm deep. The SG300-20 weighs 2.17 kg. Allow space for installed copper cables and fiber patch leads when planning cabinet depth; chassis dimensions exclude connected cabling.
SRW2016-K9-UK uses an internal 100–240V AC power supply rather than an external adapter. Maximum consumption is 23.3W at 220V AC. The fixed supply does not provide a second internal PSU option, so this purchase cannot create a dual-supply redundant power system.
C1300-16T-2G is the current migration model reached from SRW2016-K9-UK through the discontinued SG350-20-K9-UK and discontinued CBS350-16T-2G-UK. The first replacement was SG350-20-K9-UK, not the current model. The final switch has 16 Gigabit copper ports and two dedicated 1G SFP uplinks, so verify the connection count before migration.
SRW2024P-K9 provides PoE on 24 ports with a shared 180W budget, whereas SRW2016-K9-UK provides no endpoint power. Both models are discontinued. The PoE model addresses powered-device connections; the SG300-20 addresses data-only connections where endpoint power is supplied independently rather than through Ethernet.
SRW2024-K9 has 28 logical Gigabit ports, compared with 20 on SRW2016-K9-UK, allowing more connections on one switch. Both models are discontinued. The larger SG300-28 serves buyers maintaining a higher connection count, while the SG300-20 fits an existing network with fewer required connections.
C1300-16T-2G has two dedicated 1G SFP uplinks, while SRW2016-K9-UK has two SFP cages shared with copper combo ports. C1300-16T-2G is the current migration endpoint. Buyers needing dedicated fiber connections can use the successor; legacy replacements must retain the SG300-20 shared-port behavior.
