SRW2016-K9 provides 18 dedicated Gigabit copper access ports and two fixed Gigabit combo uplinks in a managed, non-PoE switch. Each combo connection selects either its RJ-45 jack or SFP cage, allowing copper or fiber attachment without a removable uplink card. The Small Business 300 Series places this Layer 2+ model in the small-business access network, where endpoints need separate power sources. A full-width 1U rack-mount chassis distinguishes the SG300-20 from narrower desktop models. The discontinued SRW2024-K9 increases the dedicated copper access count to 26 for legacy installations needing more density. This 20-port Gigabit managed switch serves buyers matching an existing connection layout.

40 Gbps switching capacity establishes the bandwidth ceiling for traffic planning. 29.76 Mpps forwarding rate describes 64-byte packet handling, keeping packet-rate sizing separate from bandwidth sizing. 512 static IPv4 routes accommodate configured paths between local IP subnets without requiring a dynamic routing configuration. 23.3W worst-case power consumption provides an input for rack power planning, while the internal AC supply accepts 100-240V AC. SRW2016-K9 combines 128 MB of memory with 16 MB of flash and a 4 Mb packet buffer shared across its ports. The forwarding database accommodates 16384 MAC addresses. STP/RSTP/MSTP controls Layer 2 loops, and LACP supports link aggregation. Administrators can configure the 300 Series through HTTP/HTTPS, console, SSH, or Telnet and monitor through SNMP. Textview supports full command-line and menu-based operation. Category 5 or better copper cabling and the 0°C to 40°C operating range establish installation requirements before deployment.
ORM Systems offers SRW2016-K9 new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units, up to 1 year on certified refurbished units, and 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, rated-speed links on every port, clean boot, and optics bay recognition; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. Specify condition, quantity, and required accessories on the purchase order; Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty and service ended October 31, 2023. Enterprise and volume orders have PO acceptance, Net-30 for government, and RMA with advance replacement, with regional stock and RMA in the UK, EU, US, and MEA.

An existing small-business network needs additional local IP interfaces on the same chassis. The 300 Series supports 128 IP interfaces using physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces, or loopback interfaces. Map the required interfaces and addressing before committing the order rather than sizing only by the number of endpoint connections.
A repeat hardware order must carry a common configuration across several locations. The 300 Series accepts text-editable configuration files and secure autoconfiguration downloads using SCP, allowing a controlled configuration template to be staged. Confirm the file-transfer method and site-specific settings, and include any required staging work in the purchase order.
A lab or replacement-stock order needs firmware staging before hardware enters service. The 300 Series holds dual firmware images and allows upgrades through the browser, TFTP, SCP, or the console connection. Keep the image and configuration choices separate, and specify the necessary staging and acceptance checks on the purchase order.
PoE-powered phones or access points
SRW2016-K9 provides Ethernet data connections without supplying PoE. Phones, wireless access points, and cameras requiring switch-delivered power cannot receive their operating power from these ports.
10G uplinks to distribution
SRW2016-K9 has 1G combo uplinks, not 10G uplinks. Installing a different transceiver cannot turn either fixed Gigabit connection into a 10G connection.
Active Cisco hardware support
Cisco support for SRW2016-K9 ended October 31, 2023. C1300-16T-2G is the current migration endpoint, with 16 Gigabit copper ports and two dedicated 1G SFP uplinks.

SRW2016-K9 identifies the Cisco SG300-20, a non-PoE Gigabit managed switch with 18 dedicated 10/100/1000 copper ports and two combo mini-GBIC connections. The complete PID identifies this configuration. The SG300-20 model name represents 20 usable Ethernet connections, with copper and fiber sharing each combo connection.
SRW2016-K9 supports a browser-based HTTP/HTTPS interface, Textview CLI through console, SSH or Telnet, and SNMP management. Full command-line and menu-based CLI modes are available. The 300 Series also includes integration with Cisco Small Business FindIT Network and Cisco OnPlus; these integrations are separate from its local management interfaces.
SRW2016-K9 reached end of sale on October 4, 2018, and Cisco support ended October 31, 2023. Its North American replacement was SG350-20-K9-NA, now discontinued. That model's discontinued successor, CBS350-16T-2G-NA, leads to the current C1300-16T-2G, which changes the copper port count and uplink arrangement.
ORM Systems offers SRW2016-K9 new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on refurbished units. Returns cover 30 days on every condition; terms apply. Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty coverage ended with Cisco support on October 31, 2023.
SRW2016-K9 provides 20 usable Ethernet connections: 18 dedicated Gigabit copper access ports and two Gigabit combo connections. Each combo connection has an RJ-45 jack and an SFP cage, but only one medium operates at a time. Using both fiber cages therefore does not create 22 independently usable connections.
Yes, SRW2016-K9 supports IPv4 static routing between configured IP interfaces, with capacity for 512 static routes and 128 IP interfaces. Layer 3 interfaces can use physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces, or loopbacks. Size the addressing and static-route plan against these limits before assigning local routing responsibilities.
SG300-20 supports MGBSX1 for multimode fiber and MGBLX1 for single-mode fiber at 1Gbps. These transceivers fit the built-in SFP side of each combo connection rather than a removable uplink card. Match the optics to the fiber plant and far-end optics; copper and fiber cannot operate simultaneously on one combo connection.
SG300-20 is a full-width 1U rack-mount switch, measuring 440 mm wide, 44.45 mm high, and 202.5 mm deep, with a weight of 2.17 kg. The chassis belongs to the rack-mounted portion of the 300 Series rather than its narrower desktop models. Confirm rack space and cable clearance before ordering.
SRW2016-K9 has a published worst-case power consumption of 23.3W at 220V, compared with 22.6W at 110V. Its internal universal AC supply accepts 100-240V AC. Use the worst-case consumption for power planning, and account separately for the power supplies of endpoints because this model does not supply PoE.
SRW2024P-K9 supplies PoE on 24 ports with a shared 180W budget, whereas SRW2016-K9 supplies no endpoint power. Both are discontinued 300 Series models. SRW2016-K9 suits legacy replacement orders for separately powered devices; SRW2024P-K9 matches existing PoE installations where power allocation determines which replacement spare is required.
SRW2024-K9 provides 26 dedicated Gigabit copper access ports, while SRW2016-K9 provides 18. Both non-PoE switches belong to the discontinued 300 Series. SRW2016-K9 matches smaller legacy port maps, while SRW2024-K9 fits replacement orders that must preserve a higher-density existing copper configuration without adding another switch.
C1300-16T-2G uses two dedicated 1G SFP uplinks, while SRW2016-K9 uses two copper/SFP combo connections. The current model has 16 Gigabit copper ports rather than 18 dedicated access ports. The discontinued SRW2016-K9 suits exact legacy sparing; C1300-16T-2G is the migration endpoint for buyers who can accept the lower copper port count.
