SRW2008P-K9-UK provides fanless, managed Gigabit access, combining eight PoE access ports with two fixed copper-or-fiber combo uplinks. The desktop chassis belongs to the Cisco Small Business 300 family, with static IPv4 routing for communication between configured network segments. Its Layer 2+ capabilities serve small-business networks without introducing a dynamic-routing feature tier. The SG300-10P connects compatible phones, wireless access points and other Ethernet endpoints through individually managed access connections. Copper and fiber uplink choices accommodate different connection media without requiring a removable uplink card. The discontinued SRW2008MP-K9 sibling carries a larger, 124W endpoint power allowance at the same port density. The hardware operates as a standalone switch rather than a stack member.

20 Gbps switching capacity supports traffic across the Gigabit interfaces, while uplink connections remain limited to their native speed. 14.88 Mpps forwarding performance describes minimum-size packet handling rather than a second bandwidth measurement. Static IPv4 routing supports manually configured paths between subnets; the routing capability is not a dynamic-routing implementation. SRW2008P-K9-UK supports STP and RSTP for controlling redundant Layer 2 paths, with LACP available for link aggregation. DHCP snooping filters messages arriving from unexpected or untrusted interfaces. IP Source Guard checks source addresses against permitted bindings, while Dynamic ARP Inspection checks address bindings in ARP traffic. Access control lists provide traffic filtering, and RADIUS/TACACS+ client support allows external authentication. Protected-port functionality can isolate devices sharing a VLAN, while storm control addresses broadcast, multicast and unknown-unicast traffic. These controls require configuration rather than following automatically from connecting endpoints to the switch.
ORM supplies SRW2008P-K9-UK in new sealed and certified refurbished condition; new units carry up to a 3-year extended warranty, certified refurbished units carry up to 1 year, and returns cover 30 days on every condition, terms apply. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with PoE output verified under load on every powered port, firmware verified, and configurations wiped to factory default. Specify the condition, quantity and required optics on the purchase order. POs are accepted, Net-30 is available for government, and RMA includes advance replacement, with regional stock and RMA coverage across the UK, EU, US and MEA.

Where existing departmental VLANs must exchange traffic locally, the SG300-10P can run in Layer 3 system mode rather than bridge-only mode. VLAN rate limiting and QoS policers are unavailable in that mode, while other advanced QoS functions remain operational. Confirm the required traffic controls before specifying the configuration.
During bench preparation for replacement units, administrators can reach the SG300-10P through HTTP or HTTPS and enable SSH or Telnet services as required. Those services have independent enablement controls, so access availability depends on the configuration. Specify the management protocol and configuration baseline before releasing units from staging.
10G fiber uplinks
The fixed uplinks operate at 1G and do not provide 10G connectivity. Installing a different transceiver cannot turn these connections into 10G uplinks.
PoE+ or higher endpoint power
Powered access ports provide PoE, limited to 15.4W per port, rather than PoE+. Endpoints requiring a higher power class need a different switch.
Current Cisco service contracts
The last service support date was April 30, 2020. C1300-8P-E-2G is the current migration-chain endpoint for buyers specifying replacement hardware rather than legacy spares.

SRW2008P-K9-UK identifies the Cisco SG300-10P managed Gigabit PoE switch with eight access ports and two combo uplinks. SRW2008P-K9 is the corresponding hardware identifier, while SG300-10P is the model name. Keep the complete ordering identifier on the purchase order rather than substituting a similar model name.
SRW2008P-K9-UK supports browser management through HTTP or HTTPS, command-line access through SSH or Telnet, a serial console connection, and SNMP management. Network services can be enabled or disabled individually. Specify the permitted access methods and retain a configuration baseline when preparing replacement units for an existing installation.
SRW2008P-K9-UK is discontinued: end of sale was April 27, 2015, and the last service support date was April 30, 2020. The forward migration chain ultimately reaches C1300-8P-E-2G. Treat this older switch as a legacy replacement purchase rather than assuming a new Cisco service contract is available.
ORM offers SRW2008P-K9-UK new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units. Returns cover 30 days on every condition; terms apply. Cisco originally supplied limited lifetime hardware coverage; active warranty eligibility can extend beyond the April 30, 2020 service support date under its warranty terms.
SRW2008P-K9-UK provides a shared 62W PoE budget across eight powered access ports, with an individual port maximum of 15.4W. The shared allowance does not support every port drawing its maximum simultaneously. Add the required endpoint allocations before ordering, and distinguish this PoE model from similarly named PoE+ versions.
The SG300-10P provides two 1G combo uplinks that can use SFP fiber connections instead of their paired copper connections. Supported choices include MGBSX1 for multimode fiber and MGBLX1 for single-mode fiber. Specify the transceiver to match the fiber connection; copper and fiber cannot operate simultaneously within the same combo pair.
SRW2008P-K9-UK can route IPv4 traffic between VLANs when configured for Layer 3 system mode. Static routing provides the routing function rather than a dynamic routing protocol. Changing system mode also removes VLAN rate limiting and QoS policers, so confirm those traffic-control dependencies before selecting the operating configuration.
SRW2008MP-K9 provides a 124W PoE budget, compared with 62W on SRW2008P-K9-UK. Both retain eight Gigabit PoE access ports and two combo uplinks. Both models are discontinued; the higher-budget version addresses greater aggregate endpoint demand, while the lower-budget version suits an installed configuration whose allocations remain within its allowance.
SRW2016-K9 provides 18 dedicated Gigabit copper connections plus two combo connections, whereas SRW2008P-K9-UK provides eight dedicated access connections plus two combo connections. Both are discontinued. The larger model addresses higher connection density in legacy installations; the smaller model fits purchases that must retain the existing compact switch configuration.
SRW2008P-K9-UK has passed its last Cisco service support date, while C1300-8P-E-2G is the current endpoint of its forward migration chain. The older model addresses like-for-like legacy replacement requirements. The current model addresses a hardware refresh; verify the replacement configuration rather than assuming existing settings transfer unchanged between generations.
