208 Gbps switching capacity and 154.76 Mpps forwarding support standalone operation; switching capacity with stacking reaches 688 Gbps. OSPF, EIGRP, BGPv4 and IS-ISv4 provide advanced unicast routing under Network Advantage, while PIM SM and SSM support multicast routing. The IPv4 scale is 32000 total entries, comprising 24000 direct routes and 8000 indirect routes. C9300-24S-A combines 8 GB DRAM with 16 GB flash for system operation and image storage, using UADP 2.0 forwarding silicon. Its 32000-entry MAC table supports address learning, and a 16 MB packet buffer accommodates queued traffic. MACsec-256 provides link encryption, but hardware-based IPsec is not supported. Three FAN-T2= fan modules provide cooling, with front-to-rear and side-to-rear airflow requiring clear ventilation paths. The 284130 Hours MTBF is a reliability planning metric rather than a guaranteed service life. Safety certifications include UL 60950-1, EN 60950-1, IEC 60950-1 and AS/NZS 60950.1.
