SF250-24-K9-UK provides fanless, Layer 2+ smart-managed switching through 24 10/100 RJ-45 access ports and four fixed Gigabit uplinks in a 1U rack-mount chassis. Two uplinks are dedicated SFP slots; the remaining two are copper/SFP combo pairs, with one connection active per pair. The non-PoE configuration connects separately powered computers, printers and other small-business network devices. Cisco 250 Series Smart Switches provide configurable VLANs and traffic prioritization rather than operating solely as unmanaged connectivity. The discontinued SF250-24P-K9-UK is the closest powered sibling, adding PoE+ with a shared 185W budget. Built-in uplinks require no removable uplink card, while the copper and fiber interfaces let the connection plan follow the installed cabling.

12.8 Gbps switching capacity supports nonblocking forwarding, while the 9.52 Mpps forwarding rate applies to 64-byte packets. 32 static IPv4 routes provide configured next-hop forwarding rather than dynamic route learning. SF250-24-K9-UK combines 512 MB of DRAM with 256 MB of flash for embedded software and configuration storage. A 12 Mb packet buffer is dynamically shared across the ports, and the MAC table holds 8000 addresses. STP/RSTP/MSTP provide loop-control options, while LACP supports configured link aggregation. Eight hardware queues provide strict-priority or WRR scheduling; 512 ACL rules can filter or rate-limit traffic using packet and address attributes. Browser-based administration and a scriptable CLI provide configuration access, with SNMP available for monitoring integration. An internal universal AC supply accepts 100–240V AC without an external adapter. 10.9W maximum system consumption at 220V supplies the figure for electrical load planning. The front-panel USB Type-A slot supports image and configuration file transfers.
Specify new sealed or certified refurbished condition and order quantities for SF250-24-K9-UK on your PO. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, including optics bay recognition; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. ORM warranty coverage is up to 3-year extended for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units, with 30-day returns on every condition, terms apply; Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty includes 1-year power-supply coverage, and Cisco service ends July 31, 2027. POs are accepted, government buyers can use Net-30, and enterprise or volume orders have RMA with advance replacement and regional stock/RMA across the UK, EU, US and MEA.

When several small offices need a common configuration before installation, the Cisco Network Plug and Play agent provides a provisioning path with Cisco PnP Connect support. Text-editable configuration files also support repeatable preparation. Specify the provisioning workflow and approved configuration file before placing the branch hardware PO.
When an existing small-business network needs additional routed interfaces without introducing dynamic routing, the switch supports 16 IP interfaces across physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces or loopback interfaces. Map the required interfaces and next-hop relationships first, then check that the intended configuration fits before ordering.
When a replacement switch must be validated against existing traffic before installation, port mirroring can send traffic from four source ports to one destination port for analysis. VLAN mirroring provides a corresponding VLAN-based option. Identify the capture destination and required source interfaces before specifying the staging configuration on the PO.
Gigabit connections to every endpoint
The access ports stop at 100 Mbps; Gigabit speed belongs to the uplinks. C1200-24T-4G provides 24 Gigabit access ports with four 1G SFP uplinks.
Switch supplied power for endpoints
The access ports provide data without PoE output. C1200-24P-4G supplies PoE and also changes the 24 access connections from Fast Ethernet to Gigabit Ethernet.
10G connections to upstream switches
The fixed uplinks support 1G rather than 10G. C1200-24T-4X provides four 10G SFP+ uplinks and also changes the 24 access ports to Gigabit Ethernet.

SF250-24-K9-UK identifies the SF250 smart-switch model with 24 Fast Ethernet access ports and the UK regional ordering suffix. SF250 belongs to the Cisco 250 Series, while 24 indicates access-port density. UK covers the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
SF250-24-K9-UK supports an HTTP/HTTPS web interface, full or menu-based CLI over SSH or Telnet, and SNMP. Smart Network Application, FindIT Network Manager with an embedded FindIT Network Probe, FindIT Network Discovery Utility and Cisco Active Advisor provide additional management, monitoring or discovery paths for the Cisco 250 Series.
SF250-24-K9-UK is discontinued, with an end-of-sale date of July 30, 2022, and a last date of support of July 31, 2027. Software maintenance ended July 30, 2023. Purchasing remaining new sealed inventory or refurbished hardware does not restart those lifecycle dates or extend Cisco's support horizon.
ORM Systems offers SF250-24-K9-UK new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to 3-year extended coverage for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units. Returns are 30 days in either condition; terms apply. Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty includes 1-year power-supply coverage, with Cisco service ending July 31, 2027.
SF250-24-K9-UK replaces SLM224GT-UK, the discontinued SF200-24 24-port 10/100 Smart Switch. The replacement preserves Fast Ethernet access-port density, but an existing installation still needs a review of uplink media, management settings and endpoint power requirements rather than assuming its configuration can be copied unchanged.
SF250-24-K9-UK has four Gigabit uplinks: two dedicated SFP ports and two copper/SFP combo ports. Each combo pair allows either its copper connector or its SFP connector to operate, not both simultaneously. The fixed interfaces require no uplink card; fiber connections require compatible optical transceivers ordered separately.
Cisco 250 Series Smart Switches support static routing, including 32 static IPv4 routes and 16 IP interfaces. Routed interfaces can use physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces or loopback interfaces. This capability supports configured next-hop forwarding; the SF250 model is a Layer 2+ switch rather than a dynamic-routing access switch.
SF250-24-K9-UK uses an internal universal AC supply accepting 100–240V AC at 50–60 Hz, with maximum system consumption of 10.9W at 220V. Consumption at 110V is 10.6W. No external power adapter is required, and this non-PoE model does not add endpoint power delivery to its electrical load.
The Cisco SF250-24 fits a standard equipment rack with its 440 mm width and 44 mm height. The chassis is 202 mm deep and weighs 2.72 kg. A mounting kit accompanies the base package, and desktop placement or wall mounting provides alternative installation arrangements.
SF250-24P-K9-UK provides PoE+ on 24 access ports with a shared 185W budget, whereas SF250-24-K9-UK supplies no endpoint power. Both models are discontinued. For like-for-like replacement purchasing, the non-PoE model matches separately powered endpoints; the powered model matches installations that depend on switch-delivered power within that shared budget.
SF250-48-K9-UK has 48 Fast Ethernet access ports, while SF250-24-K9-UK has 24. Both models are discontinued and provide four Gigabit uplinks. The smaller model matches a 24-connection replacement requirement; the larger model matches an existing 48-connection requirement where retaining Fast Ethernet remains part of the purchase specification.
C1200-24T-4G provides 24 Gigabit access ports, whereas SF250-24-K9-UK provides 24 Fast Ethernet access ports. C1200-24T-4G is the current endpoint of the replacement chain through discontinued CBS250-24T-4G-UK. The older model serves exact legacy replacement requirements; the Catalyst model suits buyers moving endpoint connections to Gigabit speed.
