1 Tbps of stack bandwidth applies when Catalyst 9300X modular uplink models stack with other 9300X models. 480 Gbps applies to Catalyst 9300 modular uplink models and to mixed Catalyst 9300X and 9300 stacks. STACK-T1-3M is 3 m long and uses the rear StackWise-480/1T stack ports, with two stack ports per switch. Eight Catalyst 9300X or 9300 members fit in one stack. A full ring of four switches needs four data stack cables; a three-cable chain runs at half bandwidth and has no redundant link. Cisco IOS XE 16.9.2 or later is the Catalyst 9300 software floor.
STACK-T1-3M is offered in new sealed and certified refurbished condition. Catalyst 3650 stacks
Catalyst 3650 switches do not join Catalyst 9300 modular uplink stacks. Keep Catalyst 9300X and 9300 Type 1 cabling separate from Catalyst 3650 stack designs.

A full ring needs one STACK-T1-3M cable per switch when every link is a 3 m run. Four switches need four data stack cables for full bandwidth and redundant connections. A chain uses one fewer cable and leaves the stack at half bandwidth with no redundant connection.
A failed STACK-T1-3M link can leave the data stack at half bandwidth and without redundant StackWise cable connections. If the bad link partitions the stack, members can form separate stacks and some members can reload. Replace the failed link with the same Type 1 length.
Install STACK-T1-3M on the rear StackWise-480/1T ports. Remove the dust covers, align the connector with the Cisco logo on top, insert the cable, and finger-tighten the screws. Avoid overtightening, and avoid repeated removals beyond the 200-insertion service limit.
