C9300LM fit is its edge over the earlier Type 3 0.5 m cable. A fixed uplink stack needs Type 3A links when C9300LM switches are present. The 0.5 m StackWise-320 cable stacks Catalyst 9300L and Catalyst 9300LM switches with matching StackWise-320 adapters. This Cisco Catalyst 9300L stack cable uses the rear StackWise adapters, not the modular uplink StackWise-480/1T ports. The stack gives one control plane, one management plane, active and standby roles and full-ring redundancy. STACK-T3A-1M is the next length when adjacent fixed uplink switches are not within 0.5 m.

Full-ring cabling gives redundant StackWise connections, and incomplete cabling leaves half bandwidth with no redundant connections. A full ring of 4 switches needs 4 data stack cables; a 4-switch chain needs 3 cables. STACK-T3A-50CM uses 0.5 m reach for adjacent vertical rack or table stacks, and the minimum bend radius is 41 mm. Each link must use the matching adapter and cable combination at both ends. Catalyst 9300L models use Type 3 and Type 3A cables, while Catalyst 9300LM models use only Type 3A cables. Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for STACK-T3A-50CM. STACK-T3A-50CM remains in the Catalyst 9300 Series ordering set and serves Catalyst 9300L and Catalyst 9300LM fixed uplink StackWise-320 stacks. The older STACK-T3-50CM stopped selling on 3 November 2025.
