C1300X-48NGU-4X combines eight 5G multigigabit ports with 60W PoE++ and forty Gigabit Ethernet ports with 30W PoE+ in a managed Layer 3 access switch. Four fixed SFP28 cages provide 10G uplinks, without a removable uplink module bay, and the chassis occupies a single rack unit. The Cisco Catalyst 1300X Series serves small-business and branch-office networks that mix powered wireless access points with phones, cameras, and ordinary Ethernet endpoints. The mixed-speed copper layout separates connections needing multigigabit bandwidth from those remaining at Gigabit speeds. C1300X-48P-4X instead limits endpoint power to 30W PoE+ per port, so the high-draw requirement separates these two family members.
C1300X-48NGU-4X price is $3,020.85. C1300X-48NGU-4X is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

240 Gbps switching capacity supports wire-speed, nonblocking switching. 178.57 Mpps forwarding is rated with 64-byte packets. 740W of shared PoE capacity requires aggregate endpoint demand to be allocated across powered ports rather than assuming simultaneous maximum output. Static routing, RIP v2, OSPF v2, OSPF v3, and PBR provide routing choices for internal subnet traffic. The Catalyst 1300X embedded operating system is customized Linux software. C1300X-48NGU-4X carries 2 GB DRAM and 1 GB flash for system operation and image storage, with an 8 MB packet buffer shared across ports. The MAC address table supports 32000 entries, and combined dynamic and static IPv4 routing reaches 7168 routes. STP, RSTP, and MSTP handle spanning-tree operation, while LACP groups physical links. SNMP provides remote management through a network management station. 25G operation is restricted to stacking, not ordinary data uplinks.
Order C1300X-48NGU-4X in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, and specify the condition and accessory quantities on the purchase order. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, including power-on and POST, every port linking at rated speed, clean boot, and PoE output verified under load on every powered port; firmware is verified and the configuration is wiped to factory default. New units carry up to a 3-year extended ORM warranty, while certified refurbished units carry up to 1 year, with 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. ORM Systems accepts POs, offers Net-30 for government, and provides RMA with advance replacement for enterprise and volume orders.

When a branch refresh moves internal subnet forwarding onto the access switch, the 256 IP-interface limit becomes part of the addressing plan. Inventory routed VLANs, physical interfaces, and link-aggregation interfaces before committing the design. Specify the interface allocation and upstream handoff in the purchase-order configuration requirements.
When switches arrive for centralized staging before branch shipment, the factory-default management address of 192.168.1.254 provides bench access when DHCP is unavailable. Set the site management address, replace default credentials, and save the startup configuration before packing each unit. Specify the addressing and staging instructions with the hardware order.
When a multi-site rollout requires a common configuration at each location, Cisco Network Plug and Play provides device provisioning while dual software images support image management. Keep site-specific addressing separate from the common configuration, and define the onboarding server and image policy in the purchase-order staging instructions.
25G data uplinks to distribution
Data uplinks operate at 10G, while 25G operation is reserved for stacking. The SFP28 connector type does not provide a general-purpose 25G uplink mode.
60W output on every access port
Only eight access ports provide 60W PoE++; forty provide 30W PoE+. A requirement for 60W on every connection exceeds this model's port-level power capabilities.
Stack expansion with Catalyst 1300
Catalyst 1300X stacks accept Catalyst 1300X partners, not stack-capable Catalyst 1300 models. Specify Catalyst 1300X members when expansion requires a shared hardware stack.
Silent fanless equipment operation
Two fans cool the chassis, and acoustic noise is 49.2 dBA at 25°C. The hardware uses active fan cooling rather than a fanless design.

C1300X-48NGU-4X identifies a Catalyst 1300X switch: 48 is the copper access-port count, NGU identifies the mixed Gigabit and 5G multigigabit PoE++ configuration, and 4X identifies four 10G uplinks. The copper layout is forty 30W PoE+ Gigabit ports plus eight 60W PoE++ 5G ports, rather than 48 multigigabit connections.
Catalyst 1300X is managed through its web UI, CLI over SSH or Telnet, RJ-45 or USB-C console, SNMP, Cisco Business Dashboard, and Cisco Business mobile app. A BTD-400 Bluetooth adapter additionally enables browser and CLI access over Bluetooth. Establish administrator credentials and permitted management services during staging.
C1300X-48NGU-4X does not require a purchased switch software license, and software updates are available at no additional cost. No minimum subscription term is required to use the switch's included functionality. Specify the hardware and deployment accessories on the order rather than adding a separate feature-license purchase.
C1300X-48NGU-4X has a 740W shared PoE budget, with forty 30W PoE+ ports and eight 60W PoE++ ports. The per-port ceilings do not guarantee simultaneous maximum output on all 48 connections. Total the connected devices' power requirements and configure power priorities before committing the endpoint allocation.
C1300X-48NGU-4X provides four fixed 10G uplinks in SFP28 cages. SFP-10G-SR supports multimode fiber, while SFP-10G-LR supports single-mode fiber. Order the transceivers separately and match fiber type and remote optics. The cages' 25G capability is reserved for stacking, so optics selection does not create 25G data uplinks.
Catalyst 1300X Front Panel Stacking connects eight members as a single managed system. Stack partners must belong to Catalyst 1300X; stack-capable Catalyst 1300 models cannot join. Specify SFP-H25G-CU1M for a supported 1m 25G direct-attach interconnect or SFP-25G-AOC1M for a 1m active optical connection, reserving cages for the selected topology.
C1300X-48NGU-4X supports static routing, RIP v2, OSPF v2, OSPF v3, and PBR as a Layer 3 switch. The IPv4 routing limit is 7168 combined dynamic and static routes, not a separate allowance for each. Size the internal route inventory against that shared total before setting the routed-access configuration.
C1300X-48NGU-4X is a Rack-Mount 1U switch measuring 444.3 mm wide, 340 mm deep, and 43.94 mm high, with a weight of 5.15 kg. Reserve rack space for the chassis and allow cable and airflow clearance when preparing the equipment schedule for the order.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 1300X. C1300X-48NGU-4X remains an available model in the family. Specify the original part number when requesting the switch, and distinguish configuration alternatives from a formal lifecycle replacement so that a different port layout is not substituted unintentionally.
Eight 60W PoE++ ports distinguish C1300X-48NGU-4X from C1300X-48P-4X, whose powered ports support 30W PoE+. The higher per-port allowance applies only to the designated ports, not every endpoint connection. Choose the former for high-draw devices; the latter suits endpoints that stay within PoE+ limits.
C1300X-48NGU-4X has 48 copper access ports, versus 24 on C1300X-24NGU-4X; both include eight 5G multigigabit ports. The larger model adds Gigabit connections rather than more multigigabit connections. Select the 48-port unit for denser Gigabit endpoint groups and the 24-port unit when fewer copper connections are needed.
C1300X-48NGU-4X has four fixed 10G uplinks, while C1300X-10NU-2X has two. Any cages assigned to stacking must be allowed for separately when planning data-uplink connections. The four-uplink model suits orders needing more uplink attachment points; the two-uplink model suits an installation requiring fewer such connections.
C1300X-48NGU-4X draws 869.1W in the 220V worst-case PoE condition and 858.4W at 110V. These are input consumption figures, separate from the 740W delivered PoE budget. Use the full switch input figure when sizing the AC circuit or backup power provision for an order that includes powered endpoints.
ORM Systems supplies C1300X-48NGU-4X new sealed or certified refurbished: new orders carry up to 3-year extended warranties; refurbished orders carry up to 1 year. Both conditions have 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco separately provides a limited lifetime hardware warranty with return-to-factory replacement. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with firmware verified and configurations wiped to factory default.
