280 Gbps switching capacity and 208.33 Mpps forwarding at 64-byte packet size provide separate throughput and packet-handling figures for traffic sizing. Static routing, RIP v2 and PBR support local routed designs; OSPF is unavailable. C1300-12XT-2X supports browser configuration and CLI access through a local console for commissioning. The Catalyst 1300-12XT-2X Managed Switch also supports network-based administration, allowing configuration work to proceed without relying exclusively on physical console access. Select the management method before preparing deployment configurations and administrator access.
ORM Systems offers C1300-12XT-2X new sealed or certified refurbished; Cisco's separate platform warranty is limited lifetime with return-to-factory replacement, while ORM provides up to 3-year extended coverage for new units, up to 1 year for refurbished units, and 30-day returns on every condition, terms apply. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, rated-speed links on every port, optics bay recognition, PSU status, fan status and clean boot, with firmware verified and configuration wiped to factory default. C1300-12XT-2X does not support OSPF. Catalyst 1300X supports OSPF v2 and v3; select a configuration whose access-port speeds and connector allocation also meet the requirement.

C1300-12XT-2X identifies a Catalyst 1300 switch with 12 ten-Gigabit copper ports and two ten-Gigabit SFP+ interfaces. C1300 names the series, 12 gives the copper port count, XT describes the ten-Gigabit copper configuration, and 2X identifies the two SFP+ connections. The configuration is non-PoE.
Catalyst 1300 switches support a web UI, CLI through RJ-45 or USB-C console connections, SSH or Telnet, Cisco Business Dashboard, Cisco Business mobile app and SNMP. Optional Bluetooth access provides another management connection. Select the administration method and required console connection before preparing configuration and access procedures.
No, C1300-12XT-2X requires neither a software subscription nor a separately purchased operating license. A hardware order therefore needs no minimum subscription term or paid network-tier selection. Software updates are available without an additional license or service requirement. The same operating requirement applies to an ORM-certified refurbished hardware order.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 1300. C1300-12XT-2X remains available to order. C1300-12XT-2X-RF identifies Cisco-remanufactured hardware, not ORM-certified refurbishment; specify the intended condition rather than treating those labels as interchangeable when matching a replacement or spare purchase.

C1300-12XT-2X replaces the discontinued CBS350-12XT-AR, CBS350-12XT-AU, CBS350-12XT-BR, CBS350-12XT-EU, CBS350-12XT-IN, CBS350-12XT-JP, CBS350-12XT-NA, CBS350-12XT-SP, CBS350-12XT-TW and CBS350-12XT-UK. Those models reached end of sale on May 30, 2024. Use the complete older regional PID when identifying equipment for migration, then specify the new switch's required order condition.
Catalyst 1300 supports eight-member Front Panel Stacking, and C1300-12XT-2X belongs to C1300 Family 2. Members must remain within that family, with network ports reassigned for stack traffic. SFP-H10GB-CU1M is a supported 1 m direct-attach cable option. Count stack connections separately when selecting cables and remaining uplink connections.
C1300-8MGP-2X provides eight PoE+ ports, while C1300-12XT-2X supplies no endpoint power. The powered model has fewer access connections and uses Gigabit and 2.5G copper rather than all-10G copper. Choose C1300-8MGP-2X for powered endpoints; choose C1300-12XT-2X when copper speed and non-PoE connectivity are the requirement.
C1300-12XT-2X uses copper for its 12 access connections, while C1300-12XS provides 12 SFP+ positions, including two shared with copper ports. The distinction is connector allocation, not a higher native link speed. Specify C1300-12XT-2X for copper-heavy connections or C1300-12XS when most links terminate through SFP+.
C1300-24XT offers 24 copper 10G connections, compared with 12 on C1300-12XT-2X. Four copper connections on C1300-24XT share their interfaces with SFP+ slots, so using those slots changes available copper connections. C1300-12XT-2X suits a smaller copper port count; C1300-24XT suits higher copper density.
