C1300-48T-4G identifies a Catalyst 1300 switch with 48 copper Gigabit Ethernet ports and four Gigabit SFP uplinks. C1300 identifies the series, 48 identifies the access-port count, T distinguishes the non-PoE copper configuration, and 4G identifies the four fixed 1G SFP uplinks.
Catalyst 1300 switches support an HTTP/HTTPS web interface, CLI over SSH or Telnet, RJ-45 console, USB Type C console, Cisco Business Dashboard, Cisco Business mobile app, and SNMP. An embedded Dashboard probe supports centralized management without a separate onsite probe appliance. Specify the management access method and credentials before installation.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 1300. C1300-48T-4G remains an available model in that series. The end-of-sale milestones affecting its Catalyst 1000 and CBS350 predecessors do not discontinue this replacement model. Keep predecessor lifecycle dates separate when preparing a replacement purchase order.
New sealed or certified refurbished C1300-48T-4G units carry ORM warranty options: up to 3-year extended coverage for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units. End-of-sale dates were April 30, 2025 for C1000-48T-4G-L; January 31, 2025 for CBS350-48T-4G-IN; and October 29, 2024 for the other listed CBS350 predecessors.
C1300-48T-4G accepts compatible Gigabit SFP transceivers, including MGBSX1 for multimode fiber and MGBLX1 for single-mode fiber. MGBSX1 supports 500 m, while MGBLX1 supports 10 km. The four fixed SFP uplinks operate at 1G; select optics against the installed fiber and remote interface rather than treating them as uplink expansion cards.
C1300-48T-4G does not support hardware stacking. Front Panel Stacking is available on selected other Catalyst 1300 models, including C1300-48T-4X, which supports eight members within its stacking family. Specify standalone units rather than stacking links when preparing an order for the non-stackable model.
Static routing, RIP v2, and PBR are supported by C1300-48T-4G; OSPF is not. The switch supports 990 IPv4 routes across static and dynamic entries and 128 IP interfaces. Routing interfaces can use physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces, or loopback interfaces.

C1300-48T-4X has four 10G SFP+ uplinks, whereas C1300-48T-4G has four 1G SFP uplinks. Both provide 48 non-PoE Gigabit Ethernet copper access ports. The faster-uplink model accommodates a 10G distribution requirement; retain the 4G configuration when the intended uplink connections operate at Gigabit speed.
C1300-48T-4G provides 48 copper Gigabit Ethernet access ports, while C1300-24T-4G provides 24. Both models are non-PoE configurations with four fixed 1G SFP uplinks. Choose the 48-port model when the connection count exceeds 24; the smaller configuration serves purchases requiring fewer copper connections.
