C1300-24XT provides managed Layer 2+ switching through 20 dedicated 10 Gigabit copper ports and four additional copper/SFP+ combo connections. Each combo connection uses either copper or fiber, rather than operating both interfaces independently. The fixed connections require no removable uplink card, and the data-only ports connect independently powered equipment rather than supplying PoE. The full-width 1U chassis places this configuration within the Cisco Catalyst 1300 Series for SMB and branch networks. A separate Gigabit management connection provides out-of-band access. C1300-24XTS changes the media layout to 12 copper ports and 12 dedicated SFP+ ports for buyers needing more independent fiber connections.

480 Gbps switching capacity provides nonblocking forwarding across the available network connections. 357.14 Mpps forwarding capacity at 64-byte packet size identifies the packet-processing limit for small-frame traffic. C1300-24XT carries 1 GB of DRAM and 1 GB of flash for its embedded software and configuration storage. An aggregate 8 MB packet buffer is dynamically shared across ports, rather than reserved equally for individual interfaces. The address table accommodates 32000 MAC entries, while the IPv4 routing capacity reaches 7168 total routes. Static routing, RIP v2 and PBR support internal traffic handling without OSPF. RIP requires global and interface-level enablement before advertising routes. STP/RSTP/MSTP provide loop-control options, and LACP supports aggregated network links. These routing and switching controls operate within the Catalyst 1300 embedded software rather than an enterprise network-license tier.
C1300-24XT is available from ORM Systems new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on certified refurbished units. When an installed CBS350-24XT-NA reaches a planned replacement window, its October 29, 2024 end-of-sale milestone identifies a discontinued predecessor with a direct migration to this model. Compare the existing copper and shared-fiber connections with the replacement configuration, then specify the replacement quantity and required connection accessories before issuing the purchase order.
When expanding an existing hardware stack, reserve at least two enabled stacking ports on each participating switch rather than treating every front-panel connection as an ordinary network link. A supported SFP-H10GB-CU1M provides a 1 m interconnect option. Check chassis spacing and the planned ring or chain topology before ordering interconnect quantities.
When staging a routed configuration before deployment, RIP can operate only on manually configured IP interfaces, not interfaces using DHCP-assigned addresses or the default IP address. Prepare the intended interface addressing and route-advertisement settings in advance, then specify the staging configuration and equipment quantity before releasing the deployment purchase order.
OSPF-based dynamic routing requirements
C1300-24XT supports static routing and RIP v2, not OSPF. Catalyst 1300X supports OSPF v2 and v3, but its copper downlink configurations differ from this 10 Gigabit model.
PoE power for connected endpoints
C1300-24XT supplies data connections without endpoint power. C1300-24P-4X adds PoE+ on 24 Gigabit access ports, so that alternative also changes the native copper access speed.

C1300-24XT identifies a Catalyst 1300 switch with 24 logical 10 Gigabit connections: 20 dedicated copper ports and four copper/SFP+ combo connections. C1300 identifies the series; 24 identifies the total connection count; XT distinguishes the copper-focused configuration. The shared SFP+ connections are not four additional independent ports.
Cisco Catalyst 1300 switches support an HTTP/HTTPS web UI, CLI over SSH or Telnet, console access, SNMP, Cisco Business Dashboard and the Cisco Business mobile app. C1300-24XT includes RJ-45 and USB Type-C console connections. Bluetooth-based browser or CLI access requires an external USB Bluetooth dongle rather than a built-in wireless interface.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 1300. C1300-24XT belongs to the currently available series. C1300-24XT-RF identifies Cisco remanufactured hardware, which is distinct from ORM Systems certified refurbished condition. Specify the required condition explicitly rather than treating the base and remanufactured ordering identifiers as interchangeable.
ORM Systems offers C1300-24XT new sealed with up to a 3-year extended warranty or certified refurbished with up to 1 year. Cisco provides a separate limited lifetime hardware warranty with return-to-factory replacement, subject to eligibility. Both ORM conditions include 30-day returns, terms apply; refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested.
Catalyst 1300 requires no separate switch software license purchase and no switch subscription term. Software updates are available without additional license or service requirements. New and ORM certified refurbished orders therefore do not require a network-tier license or subscription line for the switch itself; there is no minimum switch-license term to select.
C1300-24XT replaces discontinued CBS350-24XT-AR, CBS350-24XT-AU, CBS350-24XT-BR, CBS350-24XT-EU, CBS350-24XT-IN, CBS350-24XT-JP, CBS350-24XT-NA, CBS350-24XT-SP, CBS350-24XT-TW and CBS350-24XT-UK models. Migration planning should compare the existing copper and shared-fiber connection layout, saved settings and required accessories with the replacement configuration before ordering, rather than assuming the regional predecessor identifiers describe different replacement switches.
C1300-24XT supports Front Panel Stacking with eight members from C1300 Family 2. Cross-family stacking is not supported, and ports configured for stacking cannot carry ordinary network traffic. SFP-H10GB-CU1M provides a supported 1 m copper interconnect option; reserve stacking connections and specify the required interconnect quantity before ordering additional members.
C1300-24P-4X powers endpoints through 24 Gigabit PoE+ access ports, whereas C1300-24XT provides data-only 10 Gigabit copper connections. The difference changes both endpoint power delivery and native access speed. C1300-24P-4X suits powered Gigabit endpoints; C1300-24XT suits independently powered equipment requiring 10 Gigabit copper connectivity.
C1300-24XTS provides 12 separate copper ports and 12 dedicated SFP+ ports, while C1300-24XT combines 20 dedicated copper ports with four shared copper/SFP+ connections. Both configurations use 10 Gigabit network connections. C1300-24XTS suits a larger independent fiber connection requirement; C1300-24XT suits a copper-heavy connection plan.
C1300-12XT-2X provides 12 dedicated 10 Gigabit copper access ports, compared with 20 dedicated copper access ports on C1300-24XT.
