20 Gbps switching capacity supports nonblocking traffic handling across the access and uplink connections. 14.88 Mpps forwarding applies to 64-byte packets, making packet size important when comparing forwarding figures. 67W of shared PoE capacity limits combined endpoint allocation despite the 30W capability of each powered port. Static routing, RIP v2 and PBR provide local route selection; OSPF is unavailable. C1300-8P-E-2G supports 990 total IPv4 routes and 128 IP interfaces for sizing routed configurations. A 1.5 MB packet buffer is dynamically shared across ports rather than assigned in full to each connection. The system pairs 1 GB DRAM with 1 GB flash for operation and image storage. Cisco Catalyst 1300 Series Switches run customized Linux OS software. Browser management, SSH or Telnet CLI access, console access and SNMP provide local and remote administration, while STP/RSTP/MSTP and LACP support loop control and link aggregation.
