C9300-48UXM-M combines cloud-managed Layer 3 access with 36 ports rated to 2.5G and 12 ports rated to 10G, supplying UPOE through all 48 copper downlinks. The Catalyst 9300-M uses a full-width 1U rack chassis and an empty modular uplink bay rather than built-in fiber uplinks. Optional cards add SFP, SFP+, SFP28 or QSFP connectivity, allowing the uplink configuration to follow the aggregation interface rather than the copper port speed. Powered access points and other campus endpoints share an allocated power pool across the chassis. Within the Catalyst 9000 family, this is the Meraki-managed variant rather than an on-premises Network Advantage model. C9300-48UN-M carries a 645W default PoE budget, providing a different baseline for endpoint power allocation.
C9300-48UXM-M price for new stock is $10,055.85. C9300-48UXM-M refurb price is $6,088.50. C9300-48UXM-M is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

580 Gbps switching capacity and 431.54 Mpps forwarding define the hardware forwarding performance; stacked switching capacity reaches 1060 Gbps. 490W of default PoE power is shared among the powered ports, while a second PWR-C1-1100WAC-P increases that pool to 1590W without changing the 60W individual-port limit. C9300-48UXM-M carries 8 GB DRAM and 16 GB flash, with a 32 MB packet buffer for queued traffic. Cisco UADP 2.0 provides a 32000-entry MAC table and a 32000-entry total IPv4 forwarding table; confirm software configuration limits separately from hardware capacity. Static routing, DHCP server and DHCP relay provide forwarding and address services. The Meraki dashboard handles configuration and monitoring, while Cloud CLI provides an additional management path on supported releases. Three FAN-T2-M fans cool the chassis, and the second internal power-supply bay is optional rather than populated as standard.
Choose C9300-48UXM-M new sealed or certified refurbished, and specify the condition, quantity and required accessory line items before submitting the PO. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on, POST, rated-speed links on every port and a clean boot; PoE output is verified under load on every powered port, firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. ORM provides up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on certified refurbished units, with 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. POs are accepted, government buyers receive Net-30, and enterprise volume orders can specify RMA with advance replacement.

When adding switches to an existing wiring-closet stack, cable routing can extend beyond adjacent rack positions. STACK-T1-3M-M provides a 3 m data-stack connection; CAB-SPWR-150CM-M provides a separate 1500 mm StackPower connection. Specify the data and power cables separately against the planned rack layout before issuing the PO.
When standardizing traffic visibility across several branches, the Catalyst 9300-M offers NBAR2 recognition of more than 1500 applications and centralized NetFlow traffic analytics. Define the application categories and reporting requirements alongside local port policies. Specify the software entitlement and dashboard administration plan before issuing a multi-site purchase order.
When a standard spare is required for multiple locations, C9300-48UXM-M orders can be aligned with ORM stock and RMA regions in the UK, EU, US and MEA. Separate the spare's destination and condition from the main deployment quantity. Specify the regional stock requirement and advance-replacement RMA arrangement on the purchase order.
48 native 10G copper ports
C9300-48UXM-M has twelve 10G-capable downlinks; the other thirty-six stop at 2.5G. C9300X-48TX-M provides 48 native 10G ports but supplies no endpoint PoE.
90W power on individual ports
C9300-48UXM-M limits endpoint power to 60W per port. C9300X-48HX-M supports 90W UPOE+ across 48 ports, subject to its installed power supplies and shared budget.

C9300-48UXM-M identifies a Catalyst 9300 switch: C9300 is the hardware family, 48 is the copper port count, UXM is the UPOE multigigabit configuration with 36x2.5G and 12x10G ports, and the final -M selects the Meraki software option. Uplinks are modular rather than fixed, and subscription selection is a separate purchasing decision.
The Meraki dashboard manages the Catalyst 9300-M, with Cloud CLI providing an additional command-line path on supported software releases. Administrators use the dashboard for configuration, port provisioning, switch health, events and network usage. Specify the management entitlement and supported software release alongside the hardware rather than assuming an on-premises license is included.
C9300-48UXM-M needs a separately ordered Meraki Enterprise or Advanced term license, with a 1-year minimum and 3-, 5-, 7- or 10-year alternatives. Unified Cisco Networking Subscription licensing offers Cisco Switching Essentials or Cisco Switching Advantage with a 36-month minimum on supported releases. Select the entitlement and management mode before ordering.
C9300-48UXM-M supplies a shared 490W PoE budget with its default PWR-C1-1100WAC-P, and 1590W with a second PWR-C1-1100WAC-P. Each powered port supports 60W UPOE, but 48 ports at 60W require 2880W. The per-port limit does not guarantee simultaneous maximum draw across every powered port.
C9300-48UXM-M supports C9300-NM-8X-M for eight 1G/10G ports, C9300-NM-2Y-M for two 1G/10G/25G ports and C9300-NM-2Q-M for two 40G ports. The base uplink bay is empty. Match the optical interface, fiber type and upstream port speed before specifying the module and compatible optics as separate purchase-order items.
StackWise-480 connects eight Catalyst 9300-M switches at 480 Gbps. Order STACK-T1-50CM-M, STACK-T1-1M-M or STACK-T1-3M-M data cables separately. CAB-SPWR-30CM-M and CAB-SPWR-150CM-M provide separate StackPower connections. Fixed-uplink Catalyst 9300L-M models are not stack partners, even when they are managed through the same Meraki dashboard.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 9300-M. Software-release retirement does not by itself establish hardware end of sale. Keep the hardware PID and installed firmware release separate when planning software maintenance, support coverage and renewal of the cloud-management license associated with the deployment.
ORM offers C9300-48UXM-M new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on refurbished units. Every condition has 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's separate limited lifetime hardware warranty has original-owner eligibility and a 5-year limit following a discontinuance announcement.
C9300-48UXM-M provides a 490W default PoE budget, while C9300-48UN-M provides 645W with its default supply. Endpoint draws must still be matched to each switch's shared budget before specifying the supply configuration. The first model suits smaller allocated loads; the second fits purchases requiring more default endpoint power.
C9300-48UXM-M selects Meraki Enterprise or Advanced software, while C9300-48UXM-A includes Network Advantage. Their copper port configuration is the same, but the software-ordering paths differ. The cloud-managed model suits dashboard-based orders; the Network Advantage model suits purchases specifying a perpetual network tier and the corresponding subscription path.
C9300-48UXM-M has 48 copper access ports, whereas C9300-24UX-M has 24. Both models use modular uplinks and Meraki software ordering. The 48-port chassis suits orders consolidating a larger endpoint count; the 24-port model suits a lower-density purchase. Count installed copper connections separately from uplink accessories before selecting the model.
