C9300X-48HX-M is a cloud-managed Layer 3 enterprise access switch with 48 RJ-45 Multigigabit ports supporting 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G and 10G connections. Cisco UPOE+ supplies endpoint power through those copper ports, while a modular uplink bay accepts separately ordered SFP28 or QSFP28 network modules; no uplink module is installed in the base configuration. 590W of shared PoE power makes the endpoint load schedule a separate sizing exercise from the available port count. C9300X-48HX-M carries 16 GB of DRAM and 16 GB of flash, with a 32 MB packet buffer for queued traffic. UADP 2.0sec supplies the forwarding hardware within this Catalyst 9000 configuration. Meraki dashboard provides port configuration, health monitoring, remote cable testing and packet captures; supported cloud-managed software also provides Cloud CLI for troubleshooting. LACP supports link aggregation, while RSTP manages redundant Layer 2 paths. Power redundancy requires an additional supply because the second internal bay is empty in the standard configuration. The chassis uses three FAN-T2-M fans rather than passive cooling.

C9300X-48HX-M identifies a Catalyst 9300X model: C9300X is the family, 48 is the access-port count, HX identifies the 10G Multigigabit copper configuration with modular uplinks, and M identifies the Meraki software option. Meraki Enterprise or Advanced licensing is selected separately; M does not select either tier by itself.
Catalyst 9300X-M configuration and monitoring are performed through the Meraki dashboard web interface. Supported cloud-managed software also provides Cloud CLI for troubleshooting. Administrators can configure ports, monitor switch health, review events and use remote cable tests or packet captures without treating the M order as a locally managed Network Advantage bundle.
C9300X-48HX-M requires a separately selected license. Meraki Enterprise or Advanced co-term licenses and Essentials or Advantage subscriptions start at one year.
