The module fits the front uplink network module slot, and the host runs with a network module or C9300X-NM-BLANK installed. Catalyst 9300 and Catalyst 3850 SKUs do not take C9300X-NM modules. The default switch configuration does not include the network module, so each uplinking switch member needs its own module.

TenGigabitEthernet1/1/1 through TenGigabitEthernet1/1/8 are the configured interfaces on C9300X-NM-8M. C9300X-NM-8M fits Catalyst 9300X switches in the front uplink network module slot. Catalyst 9300, Catalyst 9300L, Catalyst 9300LM and Catalyst 3850 do not take C9300X-NM-8M. Catalyst 9300 takes C9300 network modules, and Catalyst 3850 takes C3850 network modules.
