LAN Base is the installed network license for connecting factory automation equipment, controllers, sensors, and powered video devices. The discontinued IE-2000-8T67-B is the non-PoE sibling for matching existing installations with separately powered endpoints. When an industrial installation needs a replacement in an existing equipment location, placement must preserve 50.8 mm clearance above, below, beside, and in front of the chassis. The available space cannot be judged from the enclosure outline alone. Confirm cable access, surrounding clearance, and mounting provisions before specifying the replacement order.
When a maintenance team stages a replacement before site access, the M12 console uses CAB-CONSOLE-M12= and a terminal session set to 9600 baud, eight data bits, one stop bit, and no parity. Include the console cable and the intended startup configuration in the staging checklist before issuing the purchase order.
When a maintenance program stores firmware and startup configurations on removable media, the optional SD-IE-1GB provides a 1 GB SD card for the replacement procedure. The card is a separate accessory, not additional working memory. Specify whether each spare requires SD-IE-1GB and identify the configuration to load before the purchase order.
Gigabit Ethernet on every endpoint
The eight access ports operate at 10/100 Mbps. Gigabit Ethernet is limited to the two fixed uplinks, so the access ports cannot deliver 1 Gbps endpoint connections.
Direct RJ-45 patch cable connections
All eight access ports use M12 D-coded connectors, and both uplinks use M12 X-coded connectors. Standard RJ-45 patch leads do not connect directly to these interfaces.
Dynamic routing in the included license
LAN Base provides IPv4 static routing, while OSPF and EIGRP belong to IP Lite. The as-shipped license does not include those dynamic routing protocols.

IE-2000-8T67P-G-E identifies the Industrial Ethernet 2000 family, eight Fast Ethernet copper access ports, IP67 protection, PoE+ capability, two Gigabit Ethernet uplinks, and LAN Base. Within the identifier, IE-2000 names the family, 8T denotes the access configuration, 67 identifies IP67, P denotes powered ports, G identifies Gigabit uplinks, and E identifies LAN Base.
IE-2000-8T67P-G-E supports Web Device Manager, Cisco IOS CLI over console, SSH or Telnet, SNMP, Cisco Network Assistant, Cisco Prime LMS, CIP, PROFINET, and Cisco DNA Center. CAB-CONSOLE-M12= provides the serial console connection. Cisco DNA Center management uses the optional Cisco DNA Essentials subscription; local management remains separate from that subscription.

IE-2000-8T67P-G-E is offered new sealed with up to a 3-year ORM extended warranty or certified refurbished with up to 1-year ORM coverage. Cisco's platform warranty is 5-year limited, with Cisco service ending July 31, 2029. Every condition includes 30-day returns; terms apply. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested.
LAN Base is the included license on IE-2000-8T67P-G-E; optional Cisco DNA Essentials management has a one-year minimum term, with three-, five-, and seven-year options. Enhanced LAN Base adds NAT; IP Lite adds dynamic routing, but LIC-IE2000-IP-L= is discontinued. DNA subscription orders and renewals end December 11, 2026.
IE-2000-8T67P-G-E provides a shared 120W PoE budget, so four 30W PoE+ allocations consume the full allowance. Eight simultaneous 30W requests total 240W and exceed that budget. Individual PoE allocations can reach 15.4W; actual endpoint assignments must remain within the combined power limit.
IE-2000-8T67P-G-E provides two fixed 10/100/1000BASE-T M12 X-coded copper uplinks. These connections use eight-pin shielded M12 cabling, not SFP optics or removable uplink cards. The eight Fast Ethernet access ports use four-pin D-coded M12 connections, so access and uplink cables must match the different connector coding.
IE-2000-8T67P-G-E requires an external DC source; PWR-IE160W-67-DC= is the separately sold IP67 DC-DC option. PWR-IE160W-67-DC= accepts 18-60V DC and supplies 54V at 160W. Dual DC inputs support external-source failover, but the chassis does not ship with internal redundant power supply modules.
The Industrial Ethernet 2000 IP67 supports EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, IEEE 1588v2 PTP, and REP for industrial integration, synchronization, and ring recovery. STP/RSTP/MSTP and LACP address Ethernet topology control and aggregation. These are switching and industrial-network features; the included LAN Base license does not add OSPF or EIGRP routing.
The Industrial Ethernet 2000 IP67 operates at -40°C to 60°C in sealed enclosures, -40°C to 70°C in vented enclosures, or -34°C to 75°C with forced airflow of at least 60.96 m/min. Product safety certifications cover ambient temperatures only through 60°C. Select the limit matching the actual enclosure and airflow.
IE-2000-8T67P-G-E supplies endpoint power, whereas IE-2000-8T67-B is non-PoE. Both belong to the Industrial Ethernet 2000 IP67 family and use LAN Base. Both models are discontinued. The powered model addresses endpoint power requirements; the non-PoE model matches existing installations where connected equipment receives power separately.
IE-2000-16T67P-G-E has 16 Fast Ethernet access ports, compared with eight on IE-2000-8T67P-G-E. Both retain two Gigabit Ethernet uplinks and LAN Base. Both models are discontinued; the larger chassis addresses additional wired endpoints, while the eight-port model fits orders matching an existing eight-port installation.
The Industrial Ethernet 2000 IP67 mounts directly to a wall or panel using its rear mounting ears; it is not a full-width rack chassis. Allow 50.8 mm clearance above, below, at the sides, and in front. Mounting provisions and cable access must accommodate those clearances.
