IE-9320-24P4S-A combines fanless industrial construction with managed Layer 3 switching, 24 Gigabit RJ-45 PoE+ downlinks and four fixed 1G SFP uplinks. The rack-mount 1U chassis belongs to the Catalyst IE9300 Rugged family and includes the perpetual Network Advantage license. Its copper connections serve Ethernet-enabled industrial equipment and powered endpoints, while the fiber uplinks connect the access network upstream without an uplink expansion card. The Cisco Catalyst IE9300 Rugged Series supports manufacturing, transportation and utility environments where environmental requirements extend beyond an ordinary wiring closet. IE-9320-24T4X-A removes endpoint power and changes the uplinks to four 10G SFP+ connections, distinguishing the data-only configuration from this powered Gigabit-uplink model.
IE-9320-24P4S-A price for new stock is $6,534.15. IE-9320-24P4S-A refurb price is $23,638.50. IE-9320-24P4S-A is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

56 Gbps switching capacity provides the full-duplex switching envelope, while 41.66 Mpps forwarding describes performance with 64-byte packets. OSPF, BGP, EIGRP and IS-IS support routed industrial access under Network Advantage; VRF-lite separates routing contexts, and MACsec-256 protects supported Ethernet links. IE-9320-24P4S-A carries 4 GB DRAM and 8 GB onboard flash, with approximately 2.5 GB of flash accessible to the user. Four dry-contact alarm inputs and one relay output connect cabinet conditions to network monitoring. For service access, the RJ-45 serial console and Micro-USB console provide local CLI connections, with the USB console taking input priority when both are connected. PRP and HSR are not supported on this model. The 37W indicative system-consumption figure is configuration-dependent and must not be treated as a complete powered-endpoint electrical allocation.
Specify IE-9320-24P4S-A in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, confirming the supply configuration and accessory quantities on the purchase order. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, clean boot, every port linking at rated speed, PoE output under load on every powered port, optics bay recognition, stack adapter negotiation and PSU status; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. New units carry up to a 3-year extended ORM warranty, certified refurbished units carry up to 1 year, and both have 30-day returns with terms applying; Cisco's separate platform warranty is five-year limited hardware coverage. Enterprise and volume orders support PO acceptance, Net-30 for government and RMA with advance replacement, with regional stock and RMA coverage across the UK, EU, US and MEA.

An installed IE-4010-4S24P estate requires a hardware refresh after its July 31, 2026 end-of-sale milestone. This model is its named replacement, but a replacement purchase still needs a site-specific accessory review. Reconcile existing power connections, fiber interfaces and mounting hardware against the proposed bill of materials before issuing the PO.
An industrial cabinet expansion can place multiple switches closer together than the thermal arrangement permits. For this model, a zero center gap introduces 5°C temperature derating, whereas the listed half-unit and full-unit gaps do not. Reserve the required space above and below the assembly, then approve the cabinet layout before ordering.
A rollout team staging switches through browser-based Express Setup needs an Ethernet connection to a switch port rather than the RS-232 console. The setup workstation also needs JavaScript enabled and interfering proxy or wireless settings disabled. Specify the staging connection method and prepare the workstation configuration before releasing the deployment purchase order.
10G fiber uplinks to distribution
The fixed uplinks stop at 1G and cannot accept an uplink expansion card. IE-9320-24P4X-A retains 24 Gigabit PoE+ downlinks while providing four 1G/10G SFP+ uplinks.
90W power for individual endpoints
The downlinks provide PoE+, not 90W 4PPoE. IE-9320-16P8U4X-A provides eight 2.5G 4PPoE downlinks alongside 16 Gigabit PoE+ downlinks, changing both endpoint power and downlink speed.

IE-9320-24P4S-A identifies a stackable Catalyst IE9300 industrial switch: IE-9320 is the model family, 24P denotes 24 Gigabit PoE+ downlinks, 4S denotes four Gigabit SFP uplinks, and A denotes Network Advantage. The complete part number distinguishes the powered, Gigabit-uplink configuration from other hardware and license combinations.
IE-9320-24P4S-A supports WebUI, CLI access through local consoles or SSH and Telnet, Cisco Catalyst Center, SNMP, NETCONF and RESTCONF. Local console connections use RJ-45 serial or Micro-USB. Express Setup provides browser-based initial configuration, while optional Cisco Catalyst Center subscriptions add centralized management functions beyond the perpetual network license.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst IE9300 Rugged. IE-9320-24P4S-A therefore has no announced hardware end-of-sale or last-support milestone. Software-release retirement notices and accessory retirement notices are separate lifecycle events and do not establish an end-of-sale date for the switch hardware.
ORM Systems offers IE-9320-24P4S-A new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units. Returns are available for 30 days on either condition; terms apply. Cisco's separate platform warranty is a five-year limited hardware warranty.
IE-9320-24P4S-A includes perpetual Network Advantage and does not require a Cisco Catalyst Center subscription for its network-tier features. Optional Cisco Catalyst Center DNA Essentials and DNA Advantage subscriptions start at three years, with five-year and seven-year terms also available. DNA Advantage pairs only with Network Advantage.
IE-9320-24P4S-A replaces IE-4010-4S24P, whose end-of-sale date was July 31, 2026. The older model's last date of support is July 31, 2031. Those retirement milestones belong to IE-4010-4S24P, not to this replacement, so existing support-contract planning and new-hardware purchasing follow separate timelines.
IE-9320-24P4S-A supplies PoE+ on its 24 Gigabit downlinks, whereas IE-9320-24T4X-A has 24 non-PoE Gigabit downlinks. The latter also changes the uplinks to four 10G SFP+ ports. Choose the powered model for PoE+ endpoints and the data-only model for independently powered equipment requiring faster uplinks.
IE-9320-24P4S-A includes Network Advantage, while IE-9320-24P4S-E includes Network Essentials on the same port configuration. Network Advantage adds BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS and VRF-lite among its routing features. The A model suits those routing requirements; the E model suits purchases confined to the Network Essentials feature set.
IE-9320-24P4S-A has four fixed 1G SFP uplinks, while IE-9320-24P4X-A has four fixed 1G/10G SFP+ uplinks. Both retain 24 Gigabit PoE+ downlinks and Network Advantage. The S model fits Gigabit upstream connections; the X model fits a purchase specification that requires 10G upstream connections.
IE-9320-24P4S-A provides 320W with one PWR-RGD-AC-DC-400 and 480W with two PWR-RGD-AC-DC-400 supplies when running Cisco IOS XE 17.18.1 or later. Earlier software limits the dual-supply ceiling to 385W. The budget is shared across powered ports, so the supply configuration and software release both matter.
IE-9320-24P4S-A supports a four-member StackWise stack through its two dedicated stacking interfaces. CAB-STK-0.5M= and CAB-STK-1M= provide the listed cable-length options. Specify the interconnection cables and physical routing with the order; stacking connections are separate from the fixed access ports and SFP uplinks.
IE-9320-24P4S-A accepts PWR-RGD-AC-DC-H, PWR-RGD-LOW-DC-H, PWR-RGD-AC-DC-250 and PWR-RGD-AC-DC-400, with at least one supply selected according to the order. A second supply is optional. PWR-RGD-AC-DC-400 cannot share load with PWR-RGD-AC-DC-H, PWR-RGD-LOW-DC-H or PWR-RGD-AC-DC-250; specify a supported pair rather than assuming every combination is interchangeable.
