When an existing industrial stack needs another member, cable reach becomes a purchasing requirement rather than a port-speed choice. IE-9320-24T4X-A identifies a stackable Catalyst IE9300 configuration: IE-9320 selects the stackable industrial model, 24T denotes 24 Gigabit copper downlinks, 4X denotes four 10G SFP+ uplinks, and A selects Network Advantage. The copper ports carry data without PoE, distinguishing this configuration from powered variants in the same series.
IE-9320-24T4X-A supports WebUI, CLI through SSH or Telnet, local RJ-45 RS-232 or Micro-USB console access, SNMP, NETCONF, and RESTCONF. Express Setup and Plug and Play support onboarding. Optional Cisco Catalyst Center DNA licensing adds centralized discovery, inventory, topology, and software image management rather than replacing local management.
IE-9320-24T4X-A includes perpetual Network Advantage and does not require a Cisco Catalyst Center DNA subscription for its network features. Optional Cisco Catalyst Center DNA Essentials and DNA Advantage subscriptions have three-, five-, or seven-year terms. DNA Advantage requires Network Advantage, and subscription features remain separate from the perpetual network entitlement.

IE-9320-24T4X-A supports a maximum of four stack members through its dedicated StackWise interfaces. CAB-STK-0.5M= and CAB-STK-1M= are the available stacking cable options. The dedicated stack connections are separate from the Ethernet uplinks, and cable length must match the physical spacing between members in the rack.
IE-9320-24T4X-A supports OSPF, OSPFv3, BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS, static routing, RIP, and PBR under Network Advantage. VRF-lite supports routing separation, while HSRP supports gateway redundancy. These capabilities make the model a Layer 3 switch; the Network Advantage entitlement is distinct from optional centralized-management subscriptions.
IE-9320-24T4X-A supports PWR-RGD-AC-DC-H, PWR-RGD-LOW-DC-H, PWR-RGD-AC-DC-250, and PWR-RGD-AC-DC-400. One supply runs the system, while a second is optional for redundancy. High-voltage and low-voltage supplies must not be mixed. The higher-capacity supplies do not add endpoint power capability to this non-PoE hardware.
Catalyst IE9300 Rugged switches use full-width rack-mount 1U chassis and also support wall mounting. Railway applications require rack mid-mounting for EN50155 compliance. Front or rear rack mounting and wall mounting are not acceptable substitutes for that railway installation requirement, so the mounting arrangement must match the application.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst IE9300 Rugged. IE-9320-24T4X-A belongs to that hardware series. Retirement notices for individual Cisco IOS XE releases or storage accessories are separate from a switch hardware end-of-sale announcement and do not establish a chassis replacement date.

The T model fits separately powered devices; the P model suits endpoints that must receive power through Ethernet.
IE-9320-24T4X-A includes Network Advantage, whereas IE-9320-24T4X-E includes Network Essentials. Advantage adds BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS, and VRF-lite; Essentials includes OSPF with a 1000-route limit. The A model suits broader routed designs, while the E model suits the Essentials feature set without those additional routing capabilities.
IE-9320-24T4X-A has four 10G SFP+ uplinks, while IE-9320-24P4S-A has four 1G SFP uplinks. Both retain 24 copper access connections, so the upstream speed requirement separates these configurations. The 4X model serves 10G aggregation links; the 4S model suits installations where Gigabit uplinks are sufficient.
IE-9320-24T4X-A offers optional CV-A-IE Cyber Vision Advantage coverage for 24 endpoints over three years at no additional cost on eligible orders placed from August 23, 2025. Additional endpoints need separate licenses. The Cyber Vision term is distinct from the switch's perpetual Network Advantage license.
