IE-9320-24T4X-E is a fanless, managed Layer 3 industrial Ethernet switch with 24 Gigabit RJ-45 access ports and four fixed 1/10G SFP+ uplinks. Its 1U rack-mount chassis combines copper endpoint connectivity with fiber-capable connections to the surrounding network. Network Essentials is the included perpetual software tier, supporting routed industrial access without requiring the higher network license for every installation. Unlike IE-9320-24P4X-E, which supplies PoE+ through its copper downlinks, this model connects independently powered endpoints. The Cisco Catalyst IE9300 Rugged Series serves industrial environments including manufacturing, energy, and transportation. Its uplink architecture is fixed rather than an empty network-module bay, so the hardware selection must accommodate the required access connections and uplink arrangement from the outset.
IE-9320-24T4X-E price for new stock is $5,744.55. IE-9320-24T4X-E refurb price is $9,463.50. IE-9320-24T4X-E is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

128 Gbps switching capacity provides the full-duplex fabric rating for the installed interfaces. 95.23 Mpps forwarding performance supplies a packet-rate sizing reference measured with 64-byte packets. Static routing, RIP, OSPF with a 1000-route limit, OSPFv3, and PBR are available under the installed license; BGP requires Network Advantage. IE-9320-24T4X-E carries 4 GB DRAM and 8 GB onboard flash, with approximately 2.5 GB of flash available to the user for storage planning. WebUI, local console access, SSH, Telnet, SNMP, and syslog support administration and monitoring. STP and LACP provide loop-control and link-aggregation options, while MACsec-128 supplies link-layer encryption. A 35W indicative system-consumption figure is a planning reference, not a guaranteed maximum: actual consumption varies with transceiver selection, power-supply efficiency, and the number of installed supplies. Dual AC/DC power inputs allow the power configuration to match the installation’s available electrical source.
ORM Systems supplies IE-9320-24T4X-E new sealed with up to a three-year extended warranty or certified refurbished with up to one year; Cisco’s separate five-year limited hardware warranty remains distinct. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, rated-speed port links, clean boot, optics bay recognition, stack adapter negotiation, and PSU status, with firmware verified and configuration wiped to factory default. Specify condition, quantity, and the complete bill of materials on the purchase order; every condition has 30-day returns, terms apply. POs are accepted, government buyers receive Net-30, and volume orders can use RMA with advance replacement through UK, EU, US, and MEA regional stock and RMA arrangements.

Replaces | IE-5000-12S12P-10G / IE-5000-12S12P10G=; end of sale July 26, 2024. |
When replacing a discontinued IE-5000-12S12P-10G or IE-5000-12S12P10G=, migration starts with the existing cable plant and endpoint power arrangements. Both predecessors reached end of sale on July 26, 2024. Check copper-versus-fiber downlinks and existing endpoint power dependencies before specifying the replacement assembly on the purchase order.
When several industrial sites need the same commissioning workflow, Day-0 Zero Touch Provisioning and Cisco Plug and Play provide a common onboarding approach. YANG, NETCONF, and RESTCONF support configuration automation after installation. Specify the intended bootstrap process, configuration files, and management-access method before issuing a volume purchase order.
When an industrial cabinet must signal local operating conditions to external monitoring equipment, four dry-contact alarm inputs and one Form-C relay output provide the connection points. Match the alarm wiring to the site’s signaling design and specify the required connections before the purchase order is released.
PoE-powered cameras or access points
IE-9320-24T4X-E provides no endpoint power. IE-9320-24P4X-E retains 24 Gigabit copper downlinks and four 10G uplinks while adding PoE+; its available power depends on the selected supplies.
BGP with the included license
Network Essentials does not include BGP. IE-9320-24T4X-A supplies the same port configuration with Network Advantage, or IE9300-NW-A= provides the perpetual Network Advantage upgrade.

IE-9320-24T4X-E identifies a stackable Catalyst IE9300 industrial switch: the IE-9320 prefix identifies the hardware family, 24 is the access-port count, T identifies copper downlinks, 4X identifies four 10G SFP+ uplinks, and E selects Network Essentials. The copper access interfaces operate at 10/100/1000 Mbps.
IE-9320-24T4X-E supports WebUI, CLI access over SSH or Telnet, and local RS-232 RJ-45 or Micro USB console connections. SNMP, NETCONF, and RESTCONF support monitoring and programmable configuration. Cisco Catalyst Center management is also available with the appropriate optional Catalyst Center DNA subscription, separate from the perpetual network license.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst IE9300 Rugged. IE-9320-24T4X-E belongs to that hardware family, whereas the Industrial Ethernet 5000 predecessors it replaces are discontinued. Retirement of a particular Cisco IOS XE software release is separate from retirement of the switch hardware.
ORM Systems offers IE-9320-24T4X-E new sealed or certified refurbished, with new-unit extended warranty coverage up to three years, refurbished coverage up to one year, and 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. Cisco’s separate platform warranty is five-year limited hardware coverage. Refurbished units are inspected, bench-tested, firmware verified, and wiped to factory default.
IE-9320-24T4X-E includes perpetual Network Essentials; Catalyst Center DNA Essentials is optional with a three-year minimum term. Network Advantage is a separate perpetual upgrade, and optional Catalyst Center DNA Advantage also starts at three years and requires Network Advantage. The perpetual base license does not expire with an optional term subscription.
IE-9320-24T4X-E replaces the discontinued IE-5000-12S12P-10G and IE-5000-12S12P10G=, both of which reached end of sale on July 26, 2024. The replacement uses copper access downlinks without PoE, so an existing installation’s fiber connections and endpoint power arrangements need to be checked rather than transferred unchanged.
IE-9320-24T4X-E supports four members through StackWise and has two dedicated stacking ports. CAB-STK-0.5M= provides a 0.5 m interconnect and CAB-STK-1M= provides a 1 m interconnect. Specify cable lengths against the physical member arrangement; the dedicated stacking connections do not replace the Ethernet uplinks used by the network.
IE-9320-24T4X-E includes static routing, RIP, OSPF limited to 1000 routes, OSPFv3, and PBR through Network Essentials. BGP, EIGRP, and IS-IS require Network Advantage. The OSPF allowance is a license-specific routing limit, not a statement of the hardware’s total IPv4 route capacity across all routing resources.
IE-9320-24T4X-E supports PWR-RGD-AC-DC-H for high-voltage AC/DC input and PWR-RGD-LOW-DC-H for low-voltage DC input, with dual power inputs available. PWR-RGD-AC-DC-H accepts 85-264V AC or 88-300V DC; PWR-RGD-LOW-DC-H accepts 18-75V DC. Specify the supply configuration against the actual site input rather than assuming both options accept the same source.
Catalyst IE9300 Rugged operating temperatures depend on the enclosure: -40°C to 75°C in a blower-equipped cabinet, -40°C to 70°C in a vented cabinet, and -40°C to 60°C in a sealed cabinet. Safety approval extends to 60°C. Nonindustrial transceivers require additional operating-temperature derating when selecting the complete assembly.
IE-9320-24P4X-E adds PoE+ to 24 Gigabit copper downlinks, while IE-9320-24T4X-E provides data-only copper access. Both carry four 10G SFP+ uplinks and Network Essentials. Choose the data-only model for independently powered endpoints; choose the PoE+ model when endpoint power must come from the switch, with supplies sized separately.
IE-9320-24T4X-E includes Network Essentials, whereas IE-9320-24T4X-A includes Network Advantage on the same copper and uplink configuration. Essentials includes OSPF with a 1000-route limit; Advantage adds routing capabilities including BGP, EIGRP, and IS-IS. Select Essentials for its included feature set and Advantage when those additional protocols are required.
IE-9320-24T4X-E carries four 10G SFP+ uplinks, while IE-9320-24P4S-E carries four 1G SFP uplinks. Both use fixed uplink connections rather than removable uplink cards. For uplink sizing, the first model accommodates 10G connections; the second suits installations whose specified uplink interfaces remain at Gigabit speed.
IE-9320-24T4X-E supports 24000 unicast MAC addresses with Cisco IOS XE 17.17.1 or later. Earlier releases support 16000 addresses. The installed software release therefore matters when matching the switch to an address-scale requirement; specify the required release alongside the hardware rather than relying on the chassis part number alone.
