IE-9320-22S2C4X-E is a conformal-coated, fanless Layer 3 industrial switch with 22 dedicated 100/1000M SFP downlinks, two Gigabit dual-media downlinks, and four fixed 1G/10G SFP+ uplinks. The dual-media connections let a fiber-oriented installation retain a limited copper interface option without changing the chassis. Network Essentials provides the included network license, and the non-PoE design carries data rather than delivering endpoint power. The full-width 1U chassis belongs to the Cisco Catalyst IE9300 Rugged Series for hardened manufacturing, utility, and transportation networks. Programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, drives, and sensors are among the Ethernet-connected industrial devices this family serves. IE-9320-26S2C-E is the closest fiber sibling, but its uplinks stop at 1G rather than supporting the faster distribution connections available here.
IE-9320-22S2C4X-E price for new stock is $11,259.15, a 52% saving from the Cisco list price of $23,467.00. IE-9320-22S2C4X-E refurb price is $15,538.50. IE-9320-22S2C4X-E is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

128 Gbps switching capacity represents full-duplex switching bandwidth across the fixed interfaces. 95.23 Mpps forwarding is specified with 64-byte packets, providing the packet-rate reference for traffic sizing. 1000 routes is the OSPF limit under Network Essentials, alongside Static, OSPFv3, RIP, and PBR; BGP and VRF-lite require Network Advantage. IE-9320-22S2C4X-E combines 4 GB of DRAM with 8 GB of onboard flash, of which approximately 2.5 GB is user-accessible for image and file handling. The IE9320 fiber switch with 10 GE uplinks also supports STP and LACP for Layer 2 control and link aggregation. WebUI, CLI access, and model-driven automation provide separate operational paths. A 24000-entry MAC table is available with Cisco IOS XE 17.17.1 or later, so software release selection affects address scale. 73W indicative system consumption is an enclosure-power planning reference, not a guaranteed maximum; optics and power-supply configuration affect actual demand.
Specify IE-9320-22S2C4X-E as new sealed or certified refurbished, with condition and accompanying parts itemized on the purchase order. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, rated-speed port links, clean boot, optics bay recognition, stack adapter negotiation, and PSU status; firmware is verified and configuration wiped to factory default. ORM warranties are up to 3-year extended for new units and up to 1 year refurbished, separate from Cisco's five-year limited hardware warranty; 30-day returns cover every condition, terms apply. POs are accepted with government Net-30; volume orders have UK, EU, US, and MEA regional stock and RMA with advance replacement.

Replaces | IE-5000-12S12P-10G / IE-5000-12S12P10G=; end of sale July 26, 2024 |
When replacing discontinued IE-5000-12S12P-10G or IE-5000-12S12P10G= hardware, existing copper-powered endpoints and fiber circuits need separate migration checks. Both older ordering codes reached end of sale on July 26, 2024. Capture each circuit's media and endpoint-power requirement, then specify the replacement connection plan before approving the purchase order.
When utility sites need a local time source, the integrated GNSS receiver and IRIG-B interfaces support synchronization alongside PTP. GNSS and IRIG-B operation requires Cisco IOS XE 17.12.x or later; an external antenna connects through SMA. Specify antenna placement, sky visibility, and surge protection before ordering.
Spare units staged for remote cabinets can use the optional SD-IE-16GB= card for removable storage and the Swap Drive workflow. The card is not included by default, and the USB-A host connection is intended for service work rather than continuous use. Specify removable storage and the staging procedure on the purchase order.
PoE for copper-powered endpoints
The fiber model supplies no PoE. IE-9320-24P4X-E provides 24 Gigabit copper PoE+ downlinks instead, changing the access medium while retaining four 10G uplinks.
Advanced dynamic routing and VRFs
Network Essentials excludes BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS, and VRF-lite. IE-9320-22S2C4X-A includes Network Advantage on the same fiber hardware for those routing and segmentation requirements.
25G uplinks to distribution
The fixed uplinks stop at 10G, and the chassis has no removable uplink-card bay. A 25G distribution connection requires a different switch.

IE-9320-22S2C4X-E identifies a stackable Catalyst IE9300 industrial fiber switch: IE-9320 is the hardware family, 22S identifies 22 SFP downlinks, 2C identifies two dual-media downlinks, 4X identifies four 10G SFP+ uplinks, and E identifies Network Essentials. The model also includes conformal coating for its industrial hardware configuration.
IE-9320-22S2C4X-E supports WebUI, CLI over SSH or Telnet, local RJ-45 or Micro-USB console access, Cisco Catalyst Center, SNMP, NETCONF, and RESTCONF. Express Setup provides initial browser-based configuration. Select the management workflow before staging; centralized Catalyst Center features use the applicable optional DNA license rather than changing the included network tier.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst IE9300 Rugged. IE-9320-22S2C4X-E therefore has no announced hardware retirement milestone to carry onto the purchase order. Software-release retirement dates are separate from chassis lifecycle dates; match the proposed software release and support arrangements to the planned deployment.
ORM Systems offers IE-9320-22S2C4X-E new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished. Cisco's separate hardware warranty is five-year limited hardware coverage. Every condition has 30-day returns, terms apply; refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested.
IE-9320-22S2C4X-E includes perpetual Network Essentials; Network Advantage is available through IE9300-NW-A=. Optional Cisco Catalyst Center DNA Essentials and Cisco Catalyst Center DNA Advantage subscriptions start at three years, with five- and seven-year terms also offered. DNA Advantage requires Network Advantage; neither optional subscription replaces the perpetual network tier.
IE-9320-22S2C4X-E replaces the discontinued IE-5000-12S12P-10G and IE-5000-12S12P10G=, whose end-of-sale date was July 26, 2024. The migration changes the endpoint mix to fiber-focused downlinks without PoE. Reconcile existing copper-powered devices and optical links individually rather than treating the replacement as a like-for-like port conversion.
IE-9320-22S2C4X-E has 24 Gigabit downlink interfaces: 22 dedicated SFP ports and two dual-media SFP/RJ-45 ports. Each dual-media pair activates only one medium at a time. Four separate SFP+ uplinks support 1G or 10G, so selecting copper on a combo interface does not add another downlink.
IE-9320-22S2C4X-E supports a four-member Cisco StackWise stack using dedicated stacking interfaces. CAB-STK-0.5M= and CAB-STK-1M= provide the available connection lengths. Specify the stack's physical layout and cable quantities separately from the optical-link schedule; front-panel uplinks remain available for network connections rather than serving as stack links.
IE-9320-22S2C4X-E operates with one selected power-supply module and accepts a second for redundancy. PWR-RGD-AC-DC-H supports high-voltage AC or DC, while PWR-RGD-LOW-DC-H supports low-voltage DC. Identify the site feed and required redundancy on the order; the hardware PID alone does not select the power option.
IE-9320-24P4X-E delivers PoE+ over 24 Gigabit copper downlinks, while IE-9320-22S2C4X-E is a non-PoE fiber model with two dual-media interfaces. Both carry four 10G uplinks. The copper model serves powered endpoint cabling; the fiber model serves optical access links where endpoint power is supplied separately.
IE-9320-22S2C4X-A includes Network Advantage, whereas IE-9320-22S2C4X-E includes Network Essentials on the same port hardware. Network Advantage adds BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS, and VRF-lite. Choose the E model for Essentials routing requirements; specify the A model when those additional routing and segmentation features are required.
IE-9320-22S2C4X-E has four 1G/10G SFP+ uplinks, whereas IE-9320-26S2C-E has four 100/1000M SFP uplinks. Both offer 24 Gigabit fiber-capable downlinks and Network Essentials. The 10G model addresses faster distribution connections; the 1G model fits an existing Gigabit optical uplink plan without requiring a higher-speed distribution connection.
