MS320-48-HW is a cloud-managed Layer 3 access switch with 48 Gigabit RJ-45 ports and four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks. The rack-mount chassis belongs to the Cisco Meraki MS320 family and provides non-PoE connectivity for independently powered endpoints. MS320-48LP-HW adds a 370W PoE budget for powered endpoints; both models are discontinued. Match the hardware variant to the installed configuration when specifying a legacy replacement unit.
MS320-48-HW price for new stock is $5,383.35, a 50% saving from the Cisco list price of $10,766.70. MS320-48-HW refurb price is $139.77. MS320-48-HW is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

176 Gbps switching capacity provides a non-blocking fabric for access and uplink traffic. Static routing and OSPFv2 support routed access, but OSPFv2 and Warm Spare cannot operate concurrently. MS320-48-HW maintains 32000 MAC entries for endpoint learning. STP/RSTP provide loop control, while LACP supports aggregated connections. Browser-based administration, SNMP integration, cable testing, and remote packet capture provide management and diagnostic paths without a traditional configuration CLI.
ORM Systems offers MS320-48-HW new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on certified refurbished units; both conditions include 30-day returns, with terms applying. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, every port linking at rated speed, clean boot, optics bay recognition, and PSU status; firmware is verified and configuration is wiped to factory default. Specify condition and required accessories on the PO; Cisco service and the original lifetime hardware warranty ended March 31, 2024. PO accepted, Net-30 for government, RMA with advance replacement, and regional stock/RMA across the UK, EU, US, and MEA support enterprise and volume procurement.

Distributed site orders can use virtual stacking to configure thousands of ports through one management view. Before the PO, identify the destination networks, administration roles, and port settings for each unit, then specify how the hardware order will be divided across locations.
Predeployment testing can use port mirroring to inspect endpoint traffic. A 9600-byte Ethernet frame limit gives the lab a specific jumbo-frame boundary to test. Define the intended frame size, traffic sources, and mirrored destination ports before specifying the hardware and staging requirements on the PO.
PoE power for connected endpoints
MS320-48-HW does not provide endpoint power. C9300L-48P-4X-M provides PoE+ with 48 Gigabit access ports and fixed 10G uplinks for a powered access configuration.
Physical stacking between access switches
MS320-48-HW offers virtual management grouping rather than physical stacking. C9300L-48T-4X-M supports StackWise-320; specify compatible stacking hardware separately for the intended stack.
Concurrent OSPF and gateway warm spare
MS320-48-HW cannot run OSPFv2 and Warm Spare concurrently. Select the routing or gateway-redundancy design before ordering rather than specifying both operating modes together.

MS320-48-HW identifies the MS320 cloud-managed Layer 3 hardware model with 48 Gigabit access ports. MS320 is the family identifier, 48 is the access-port count, and HW is the hardware order identifier rather than an Enterprise subscription license.
The Cisco Meraki MS320 is configured through the browser-based Meraki dashboard rather than a traditional configuration CLI. SNMP provides integration with external network-management systems, while remote diagnostics include cable testing and packet capture.
MS320-48-HW has model-specific Enterprise license identifiers, including LIC-MS320-48-1YR for one year and LIC-MS320-48-3YR for three years. Confirm the applicable entitlement separately from the hardware order; subscription licensing does not extend the ended hardware-support period.
MS320-48-HW reached end-of-sale on March 31, 2017, and end-of-support on March 31, 2024. Cisco service has ended, so procurement should distinguish a legacy hardware spare from a current supported deployment.
MS320-48-HW was named as a replacement for MS42-HW, whose end-of-sale date was April 26, 2014. MS320-48-HW is itself discontinued, so the predecessor relationship identifies a historical migration rather than a current-product recommendation.
ORM Systems offers MS320-48-HW new sealed or certified refurbished: new units include up to a 3-year extended warranty, refurbished units up to 1 year, and both conditions include 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's original lifetime hardware warranty and service ended March 31, 2024. Refurbished managed units are bench-tested, firmware verified, and factory-reset.
MS320-48-HW provides four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks. Compatible fiber choices include MA-SFP-10GB-SR for multimode cabling and MA-SFP-10GB-LR for single-mode cabling; specify optics according to the installed fiber connection.
MS320-48-HW ships with one MA-PWR-250WAC. A second MA-PWR-250WAC is the optional redundant supply, so the standard hardware configuration should not be treated as including a redundant pair.
MS320-48-HW supports static routing and OSPFv2. OSPFv2 and Warm Spare cannot operate concurrently, so the intended routed-access design must select the appropriate operating mode before configuration.
MS320 switches support virtual stacking for centralized port management, not a physical hardware stack. Virtual stacking groups management operations across switches without turning the units into a physically stacked forwarding system.
MS320-48-HW is non-PoE, while MS320-48LP-HW provides a 370W PoE budget. Both are discontinued: the first matches independently powered legacy endpoints, while the second matches an installed powered-endpoint configuration.
MS320-48-HW provides 48 Gigabit access ports, while MS320-24-HW provides 24. Both are discontinued; match the 48-port model to higher-density legacy configurations and the 24-port model to lower-density installed hardware.
C9300L-48T-4X-M supports physical StackWise-320 stacking, whereas MS320-48-HW provides virtual management grouping only. C9300L-48T-4X-M is the forward migration choice for a physical stack; MS320-48-HW matches a nonstacked legacy spare requirement.
