MS390-24P-HW is a cloud-managed Layer 3 access switch with 24 fixed 1GE RJ-45 PoE+ downlinks, a modular uplink bay, and 1U rack mounting for campus and branch wiring closets. The Cisco Meraki MS390-24P uses Meraki Dashboard management for port configuration, usage visibility, alerts, troubleshooting, and scheduled firmware updates. Uplink capacity depends on the installed module: MA-MOD-4X10G, MA-MOD-8X10G, or MA-MOD-2X40G. The Meraki MS390 platform also supports MS390-only physical stacking and StackPower for stacked access designs. MS390-24U-HW keeps the same 24 x 1GE downlink count but moves the power class to UPOE with MA-PWR-1100WAC.
MS390-24P-HW price for new stock is $1,382.85, a 50% saving from the Cisco list price of $2,765.70. MS390-24P-HW refurb price is $1,110.89. MS390-24P-HW is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

208 Gbps switching capacity and 154.76 Mpps forwarding support the 24-port Gigabit access layout without treating the uplink bay as populated. 445W PoE capacity is available with the included MA-PWR-715WAC, while a second MA-PWR-715WAC raises the PoE budget for higher endpoint loading. Static and OSPF routing, DHCP server, DHCP relay, DHCP snooping, IPv4 and IPv6 ACLs, 802.1X authentication, and STP enhancements support routed access or Layer 2 closet designs. MS390-24P-HW carries a 32000-entry MAC table and a 480 Gbps MS390-only stack bandwidth. Modular optics bays are tested through the installed uplink module rather than fixed SFP cages on the base 24-port Gigabit PoE+ access switch.
New sealed and certified refurbished MS390-24P-HW units are available for buyers standardizing on Meraki-managed access switching. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested; managed units are firmware verified and wiped to factory default, with PoE output verified under load on every powered port, module bay recognition, stack adapter negotiation, PSU status, and fan status. Order this switch with the required Meraki license term, uplink module, optics, stack cables, and any second MA-PWR-715WAC needed for the PoE plan. ORM Systems accepts PO and Net-30 for government, offers RMA with advance replacement, and supports UK, EU, US, and MEA stock and RMA flows; new units carry up to 3-year extended warranty, certified refurbished units carry up to 1 year, and returns are 30 days on every condition, terms apply.
| Key Specs | Key Spec Values |
|---|---|
Operating System | Meraki cloud-managed switching |
License Tier | Enterprise / Advanced subscription |
Port Configuration | 24 x 1G PoE+, modular uplink bay |
PoE Budget | 445W single / 720W dual |
Stacking | 480 Gbps, eight MS390 members |
Max Power Draw | 554.4W |
A closet with phones, cameras, or 30W access points can standardize on 24 x 1GE PoE+ ports and size against the 445W single-supply budget. When all 24 ports may approach PoE+ draw, specify a second MA-PWR-715WAC before the PO.
An existing MS390 access stack can add another 24-port member where MS390-only stacking and 480 Gbps stack bandwidth are already the standard. Check stack size against the eight-member limit and order MA-CBL-120G-50CM, MA-CBL-120G-1M, or MA-CBL-120G-3M.
A branch or campus closet using routed access can place OSPF, DHCP server, DHCP relay, and ACL functions at the access layer. Before purchase, confirm the Meraki license tier and select MA-MOD-4X10G, MA-MOD-8X10G, or MA-MOD-2X40G for the distribution uplink speed.
UPOE endpoint power
The model supports PoE+ but not UPOE; MS390-24U-HW keeps 24 1G RJ-45 ports and adds UPOE with MA-PWR-1100WAC.
Multigigabit access ports
The downlinks are 24 x 1GE RJ45; MS390-24UX-HW is the documented 24-port MS390 variant with 1/2.5/5/10GE RJ45 and UPOE.
Forty-eight access ports
The chassis provides 24 RJ-45 downlinks; MS390-48P-HW is the same MS390 PoE+ class with 48 x 1GE RJ45 ports.
More than 1000 VLANs
MS390 deployments are limited to 1000 active VLANs; requirements above that limit need a different platform with a documented larger VLAN scale.

MS390-24P-HW is the hardware PID for a Meraki MS390 24GE Layer 3 PoE+ switch. The row identifies the MS390 family, 24 Gigabit Ethernet access ports, P for PoE+, and HW for the physical switch hardware without the required Meraki license term.
MS390-24P-HW is managed through Meraki Dashboard, including GUI-based port management, per-port and per-client usage statistics, alerts, remote troubleshooting, and scheduled firmware updates. Browser-based diagnostics are tied to the cloud management model, so the switch should be claimed and licensed before production use.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for MS390. MS390 power-supply and fan spares, including MA-PWR-715WAC and MA-FAN-16K2, have accessory last order on October 29 2026 and last support on October 31 2032 for spares planning.
MS390-24P-HW is available from ORM Systems new sealed or certified refurbished. Cisco's platform warranty is Limited Lifetime; ORM offers up to 3-year extended warranty on new units, up to 1 year on certified refurbished units, and 30-day returns on every condition.
MS390-24P-HW needs a separate Meraki MS390 24-port license and support term. License paths include LIC-MS390-24E-1Y for Enterprise and LIC-MS390-24A-1Y for Advanced, with 3-year, 5-year, 7-year, and 10-year terms also shown for the same tiers.
MS390-24P-HW provides a 445W PoE budget with the included MA-PWR-715WAC supply. A second MA-PWR-715WAC raises the PoE budget to 720W, which matches 24 ports at 30W PoE+ before accounting for cabling, endpoints, or policy limits.
MS390-24P-HW uses modular uplinks rather than fixed SFP ports. The supported uplink modules are MA-MOD-4X10G for four 10GE SFP+ ports, MA-MOD-8X10G for eight 10GE SFP+ ports, and MA-MOD-2X40G for two 40GE QSFP+ ports. Optics are separate.
MS390-24P-HW can stack in an MS390-only physical stack of up to eight switches with 480 Gbps stack bandwidth. The data-stack cable PIDs are MA-CBL-120G-50CM, MA-CBL-120G-1M, and MA-CBL-120G-3M; StackPower uses MA-CBL-SPWR-30CM or MA-CBL-SPWR-150CM.
MS390-24P-HW supports Layer 3 switching with Static and OSPF routing. The MS390 feature set also includes DHCP server, DHCP relay, DHCP snooping, IPv4 and IPv6 ACLs, 802.1X authentication, and STP enhancements for access networks under Meraki cloud management.
MS390-24P-HW ships with one MA-PWR-715WAC and supports two hot-swappable power supplies. Redundancy is optional because the second supply is not part of the base hardware package; use another MA-PWR-715WAC when matching the documented dual-supply PoE figure.
MS390-24P-HW adds 24 1G PoE+ ports and a MA-PWR-715WAC supply where MS390-24-HW is a 24 x 1GE non-PoE switch with MA-PWR-350WAC. Choose MS390-24P-HW for powered endpoints and MS390-24-HW for data-only copper access.
MS390-24U-HW provides UPOE and ships with MA-PWR-1100WAC, while MS390-24P-HW provides PoE+ with MA-PWR-715WAC. MS390-24P-HW fits 30W PoE+ endpoints; MS390-24U-HW fits higher-draw access points, cameras, or building devices that require UPOE.
MS390-48P-HW doubles the 1GE PoE+ access density to 48 RJ-45 ports, while MS390-24P-HW provides 24. MS390-24P-HW suits a smaller closet or stack member; MS390-48P-HW suits a higher-density closet that still needs MS390 PoE+ and modular uplinks.
