MS320-24-HW is a cloud-managed Layer 3 access switch with 24 Gigabit Ethernet copper ports and four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks in a rack-mount 1U chassis. The MS320 family serves branch and campus connections for separately powered endpoints rather than delivering power over the access cabling. The discontinued MS320-24P-HW is the powered sibling, carrying a 370W PoE budget. Centralized management and application visibility support administration across distributed locations. The fixed uplink architecture requires no removable uplink card, while the non-PoE configuration keeps endpoint power outside the switch purchase.
MS320-24-HW price for new stock is $2,600.85, a 50% saving from the Cisco list price of $5,201.70. MS320-24-HW refurb price is $331.20. MS320-24-HW is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

128 Gbps switching capacity provides the forwarding fabric for copper access and optical uplink connections. Static routing and OSPFv2 support routed access, while warm spare operation provides an alternative gateway redundancy mode. MS320-24-HW accommodates 32000 MAC forwarding entries and draws 39W at full load; the MA-PWR-250WAC supply rating is not its operating consumption. Cisco Meraki MS switches separate hardware forwarding from software-based control and management. Port mirroring, DHCP snooping, and multicast filtering provide traffic inspection and control functions. The second MA-PWR-250WAC is optional rather than included as standard, so redundant power requires an additional supply on the order.
MS320-24-HW is offered new sealed or certified refurbished; refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, every port linking at rated speed, optics bay recognition, PSU status, and clean boot, with firmware verified and configuration wiped to factory default. Specify condition and accessories on the PO: ORM provides up to 3-year extended warranty for new units or up to 1 year for certified refurbished units, plus 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. Cisco's lifetime hardware warranty ended on March 31, 2024. Enterprise and volume POs are accepted, with Net-30 for government, RMA with advance replacement, and regional stock/RMA across the UK, EU, US, and MEA.

When replacing a branch VLAN gateway, the design must choose between OSPFv2 and warm spare operation because those functions cannot operate concurrently. Dynamic-routing acceptance and gateway failover acceptance therefore need separate criteria. Specify the intended operating mode and validate the existing gateway configuration before issuing the purchase order.
When standardizing administration across several locations, virtual stacking provides centralized port management without requiring physical stack connections. Application and client visibility also belong in the operational acceptance checklist. Define the locations, administrator responsibilities, and required visibility checks before ordering hardware for a distributed branch installation.
When consolidating separate network connections into logical trunks, link aggregation permits eight ports per aggregate. Physical port assignments, peer configuration, and VLAN membership must be planned together rather than treating every cable as an independent connection. Specify aggregate membership and matching upstream settings before approving the purchase order.
Endpoint power through access ports
MS320-24-HW supplies no PoE output. Phones, wireless access points, and cameras connected to its copper access ports require their own power sources.
A physical switch stacking backplane
MS320-24-HW provides virtual stacking for centralized management, not physical switch stacking. Dashboard grouping cannot substitute for a shared hardware stacking backplane.
Hardware with current Cisco support
MS320-24-HW ended Cisco support on March 31, 2024. C9300L-24T-4X-M is a current cloud-managed, 24-port Gigabit alternative with four fixed SFP+ uplinks.

MS320-24-HW identifies the MS320 family, a 24-port Gigabit Ethernet configuration, and the hardware ordering item. The complete PID selects the non-PoE Layer 3 model rather than the powered variant. Enterprise cloud licensing is a separate purchase, not a perpetual network tier embedded in the hardware suffix.
MS320 switches are configured through the browser-based Meraki cloud dashboard rather than a local command-line configuration interface. SNMPD integration supports third-party network monitoring. Centralized administration includes historical usage statistics and remote diagnostics, so the management acceptance checklist should distinguish dashboard configuration access from external monitoring integration.
MS320-24-HW reached end of sale on March 31, 2017, and end of support on March 31, 2024. Cisco service has ended. MS250-24-HW was the original replacement and is also discontinued. A deployment requiring current Cisco-supported hardware should specify a current alternative rather than this legacy model.
MS320-24-HW is offered new sealed or certified refurbished with ORM warranty of up to 3-year extended coverage for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units. Returns are 30 days on every condition; terms apply. Cisco's lifetime hardware warranty ended with support on March 31, 2024.
MS320-24-HW uses separate model-specific Enterprise cloud licensing, historically offered from a one-year term. LIC-MS320-24-1YR identifies that entry term. Longer historical license terms do not extend the hardware's support lifetime. Confirm the eligible entitlement before ordering rather than assuming that new sealed or refurbished hardware includes a license.
MS320-24-HW supports MA-SFP-10GB-SR and MA-SFP-10GB-LRM for multimode fiber, plus MA-SFP-10GB-LR for single-mode fiber. MA-SFP-10GB-SR reaches 400m, MA-SFP-10GB-LRM reaches 220m, and MA-SFP-10GB-LR reaches 10km. Specify the fiber type, required distance, and matching link partner before ordering the optical uplink accessories.
Yes, MS320-24-HW accepts an optional second MA-PWR-250WAC alongside the default MA-PWR-250WAC. The redundant supply is not included as standard. Specify the additional MA-PWR-250WAC explicitly when redundant power is required, and distinguish that accessory requirement from the switch's ordinary single-supply hardware configuration on the purchase order.
MS320-24P-HW provides a 370W PoE budget, whereas MS320-24-HW supplies no endpoint power. Both models are discontinued. The powered configuration serves endpoints receiving power over Ethernet; the non-PoE configuration serves separately powered connections. Neither model restores current Cisco support coverage when purchased as replacement hardware.
MS320-48-HW has 48 Gigabit access ports, compared with 24 on MS320-24-HW. Both models are discontinued, so the distinction is legacy copper-port density rather than lifecycle status. The larger configuration suits more separately powered connections; the smaller configuration suits an existing 24-port hardware replacement requirement.
C9300L-24T-4X-M supports Meraki Advanced or Enterprise licensing, while MS320-24-HW uses model-specific Enterprise licensing. The current model is a cloud-managed refresh alternative; the discontinued model is a legacy replacement. A buyer standardizing present-day licensing should specify the current model rather than carry forward assumptions about the old entitlement.
