The card presents Ethernet or FCoE interfaces and uses the UCS VIC 1400 feature set. It fits C125 M5, C220 M5/M6, C225 M6, C240 M5/M6, C240 SD M5, C245 M6, C480 M5, C480 ML M5, C4200 and S3260 M5. As a Cisco UCS S3260 M5 network adapter, one PCIe adapter is selected per SIOC. The ports connect to fabric interconnects or Nexus switches with Cisco QSFP optics or QSFP cables. UCSC-PCIE-C25Q-04 is the quad-port 10/25G SFP28 sibling for lower-speed SFP28 links.

2 x 40/100G QSFP28 ports carry Ethernet or FCoE, and each far end must match the selected 40G or 100G Cisco optic or QSFP cable. PCIe 3.0 x16 host connectivity gives the card its server interface, and the HHHL form fits the PCIe option-card slot in the C125 M5. 256 virtual interfaces present as NICs or HBAs, with about eight reserved internally before operating-system or hypervisor limits. UCSC-PCIE-C100-04 draws 28W maximum and measures 167.6 mm deep, 63.5 mm wide and 13.5 mm high. A C125 M5 or C240 M5/M6 service event with a failed 40/100G PCIe VIC needs the same QSFP28 card to keep cabling and service profiles aligned. Specify UCSC-PCIE-C100-04 and verify the slot is PCIe, not mLOM, before the PO.
An S3260 M5 expansion that adds SIOC connectivity uses one PCIe adapter per SIOC. A single-node chassis uses two SIOCs when Cisco IMC is 3.0(3) and UCSM is 3.1(3) or later. Specify the SIOC count and software level before the PO.

The 40/100G ports have no reverse-breakout mode to 4x10G or 4x25G. Use UCSC-PCIE-C25Q-04 when the server needs four 10/25G SFP28 ports.

Rack-server integration marks the VIC 1495 for direct connection only. Use UCSC-PCIE-C25Q-04 when the design needs SingleWire or Dual-Wire management with the VIC.
