C1200-24FP-4X is a managed Layer 2+ access switch with 24 Gigabit Ethernet copper ports delivering PoE+ and four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks. The rack-mount 1U chassis belongs to the Cisco Catalyst 1200 Series and serves small-business networks connecting computers, IP phones, wireless access points, and cameras. Its uplinks are built in rather than added through a removable network card, separating the fiber connection choice from the copper access layout. Compared with C1200-24P-4X, this model provides a larger shared endpoint power budget. Voice VLAN handling assigns phone traffic to a voice-specific VLAN, while Auto Surveillance VLAN supports camera traffic separation. The 24-port Gigabit PoE+ switch also supports time-based port operation, allowing administrators to schedule when individual connections remain active.
C1200-24FP-4X price for new stock is $1,044.75, a 34.8% saving from the Cisco list price of $1,602.45. C1200-24FP-4X refurb price is $955.50. C1200-24FP-4X is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

128 Gbps switching capacity provides wire-speed, nonblocking switching across the access interfaces and uplink bank. 95.23 Mpps forwarding at 64-byte packet sizes supplies the packet-rate reference for traffic planning. 375W of PoE power supports a shared allocation across connected powered devices. Static routing handles local inter-VLAN communication within the switch's route limits. C1200-24FP-4X carries 1 GB of DRAM, 512 MB of flash, and a 1.5 MB aggregate packet buffer shared across the ports. The MAC table holds 8000 entries for learned endpoint addresses. STP, RSTP, and MSTP handle loop prevention, while LACP groups links under a common aggregation policy. HTTPS, SSH, SNMP, and the browser interface provide management and monitoring access. Port security limits learned source addresses, and 802.1X uses RADIUS authentication to control network access. Eight hardware queues support strict-priority or Weighted Round-Robin scheduling for traffic assigned different service classes. Copper access connections remain limited to Gigabit Ethernet rather than multigigabit speeds.
Order C1200-24FP-4X in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, and specify the required quantity and condition on the purchase order. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested; every port links at rated speed, PoE output is verified under load on every powered port, optics bay recognition is checked, and firmware is verified before the configuration is wiped to factory default. ORM Systems provides up to a 3-year extended warranty on new hardware and up to a 1-year warranty on certified refurbished hardware, with 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. POs are accepted, with Net-30 for government and RMA with advance replacement; specify enterprise or volume quantities for UK, EU, US, or MEA stock.

When replacing discontinued CBS250-24FP-4X-NA equipment, C1200-24FP-4X is the migration model. The older North American part reached end of sale on October 29, 2024. Identify the exact regional predecessor in the installed inventory, then specify the replacement PID and required condition on the purchase order.
When a small-business refresh includes local communication between VLANs, the interface design must fit 16 IP interfaces. Physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces, and loopback interfaces can carry routed interfaces. Map the required local gateways and interface assignments before specifying the switch quantity and configuration baseline on the purchase order.
When several small-business locations need a common management workflow, the embedded Cisco Business Dashboard probe removes the need for a separate onsite probe appliance or virtual machine. Establish the management design and onboarding process before allocating units, and specify the same firmware and configuration baseline for each location's order.
More than 30W per endpoint
Each powered copper port supplies no more than 30W, subject to the shared power budget. Endpoints requiring greater switch-delivered power exceed this model's per-port limit.
Fanless operation in occupied rooms
A single fan cools this model. C1200-24P-4X is fanless but reduces the shared PoE budget to 195W, so endpoint demand must fit that smaller allocation.
More than 24 copper connections
The fixed copper interface count stops at 24. C1200-48P-4X provides 48 Gigabit PoE+ access ports, but its 375W shared budget does not increase with the port count.
More than 32 static routes
IPv4 routing is limited to 32 static routes. Designs requiring a larger local route table exceed this model's routing scale; reduce the local route set or select different hardware.

C1200-24FP-4X identifies a Catalyst 1200 switch: C1200 is the series prefix, 24 denotes 24 Gigabit copper access ports, FP identifies the PoE+ configuration with a 375W budget, and 4X denotes four 10G SFP+ uplinks. Those uplinks are fixed rather than supplied through a removable network module.
C1200-24FP-4X supports web management over HTTP/HTTPS, CLI over SSH or Telnet, RJ-45 and USB-C consoles, Cisco Business Dashboard, Cisco Business mobile app, SNMP, and Cisco Network Plug and Play. Full and menu-based CLI modes are available. An external USB Bluetooth dongle also enables browser or CLI access.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 1200. C1200-24FP-4X remains an orderable member of the series. Retirement dates assigned to the discontinued CBS250 predecessors belong to those older regional products, not to the replacement switch, and must not be transferred to this model.
ORM Systems offers C1200-24FP-4X new sealed with up to a 3-year extended warranty or certified refurbished with up to a 1-year warranty. Every condition includes 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's separate warranty is limited lifetime with return-to-factory replacement. Refurbished units are bench-tested, firmware verified, and wiped to factory default.
C1200-24FP-4X provides a 375W shared PoE budget across 24 powered copper ports, with a maximum of 30W on an individual port. The combined allocation remains capped at 375W. A purchase plan must therefore reflect simultaneous endpoint requirements rather than assuming every powered connection can receive 30W at once.
C1200-24FP-4X has four fixed SFP+ uplinks supporting 10G or 1G operation. Compatible fiber options include SFP-10G-SR for multimode connections and SFP-10G-LR for single-mode connections. SFP-H10GB-CU1M supports a 1 m direct-attach copper connection. Specify the media and the far-end interface before selecting the uplink parts.
C1200-24FP-4X supports static IPv4 routing with 32 routes and 16 IP interfaces, which places this configuration in Layer 2+. Routed interfaces can be configured on physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces, or loopback interfaces. Size the local route set and interface count before purchasing the switch.
C1200-24FP-4X replaces discontinued CBS250-24FP-4X-AR, CBS250-24FP-4X-AU, CBS250-24FP-4X-EU, CBS250-24FP-4X-JP, CBS250-24FP-4X-NA, CBS250-24FP-4X-SP, CBS250-24FP-4X-TW, CBS250-24FP-4X-UK, and CBS250-24FP-4X-BR, whose end-of-sale date was October 29, 2024. C1200-24FP-4X also replaces discontinued CBS250-24FP-4X-IN, whose end-of-sale date was January 31, 2025. Match the entire regional PID when preparing migration orders.
C1200-24FP-4X provides 375W of PoE power, while C1200-24P-4X provides 195W. Both configurations have 24 Gigabit PoE+ access ports and four 10G SFP+ uplinks. C1200-24FP-4X suits the larger shared endpoint allocation; C1200-24P-4X suits an endpoint inventory that fits within the smaller budget.
C1200-24FP-4X has four 10G SFP+ uplinks, while C1200-24FP-4G has four 1G SFP uplinks. Both models retain 24 Gigabit PoE+ access ports and a 375W shared power budget. Choose C1200-24FP-4X for 10G upstream interfaces; C1200-24FP-4G addresses connections that remain at Gigabit uplink speeds.
C1200-24FP-4X provides 24 Gigabit PoE+ access ports, while C1200-48P-4X provides 48. Both retain four 10G SFP+ uplinks and a 375W shared PoE budget. C1200-24FP-4X fits a 24-connection access requirement; C1200-48P-4X fits greater copper density without increasing the total power available to endpoints.
C1200-24FP-4X is a rack-mount 1U switch measuring 445 mm wide, 345 mm deep, and 44 mm high, with a weight of 4.6 kg. The new-switch package includes mounting brackets; compatible replacement mounting hardware uses RCKMNT-1RU-1K=. Check cabinet depth and mounting requirements before specifying the order.
C1200-24FP-4X reaches 452.9W worst-case power consumption at 110V with PoE included; the corresponding 220V figure is 450.4W. Idle consumption is 22W at 110V or 22.7W at 220V. The internal AC input accepts 100-240V. Size branch-circuit and UPS allocations using the full-load figures rather than the idle readings.
