C1200-24P-4X combines fanless cooling with smart-managed Layer 2+ switching for small-business access networks. Its 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports provide PoE+ connections for phones, wireless access points, and IP cameras, while four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks connect the access network to faster upstream equipment. The uplink cages are built into the chassis rather than supplied through a removable network card. This 1U rack-mount model belongs to the Cisco Catalyst 1200 family and runs customized Linux software. C1200-24FP-4X raises the endpoint power budget to 375W for installations with greater combined powered-device demand. A 24-port Gigabit PoE+ switch with 10 Gigabit uplinks addresses networks that retain Gigabit copper endpoints while moving upstream connections to a higher speed.
C1200-24P-4X price for new stock is $677.25, a 46.2% saving from the Cisco list price of $1,257.92. C1200-24P-4X refurb price is $1,073.84. C1200-24P-4X is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

128 Gbps switching capacity supports nonblocking traffic between the copper access interfaces and fiber uplinks. 95.23 Mpps forwarding performance applies to 64-byte packets, so packet-rate sizing remains distinct from aggregate bandwidth. Static routing supports 32 IPv4 routes and 16 IP interfaces for limited inter-VLAN forwarding rather than dynamic route exchange. C1200-24P-4X carries 1 GB of DRAM and 512 MB of flash for its operating environment, with a 1.5 MB packet buffer shared dynamically across all ports. The address table accommodates 8000 MAC addresses, and 255 active VLANs permit traffic separation within a small-business network. STP, RSTP, and MSTP handle loop control, while LACP groups links when the connected equipment supports aggregation. Eight hardware queues support traffic prioritization, and ingress policing plus egress shaping control traffic rates. Browser-based administration and scriptable CLI access provide local configuration paths without changing the fixed access-port speeds.
ORM Systems supplies C1200-24P-4X new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units, up to 1 year on certified refurbished units, and 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, every port links at rated speed, PoE output is verified under load on every powered port, and firmware is verified before configuration is wiped to factory default. Specify the condition, quantity, and destination region on the purchase order. PO acceptance, Net-30 for government, and RMA with advance replacement support enterprise and volume orders, with regional stock and RMA coverage across the UK, EU, US, and MEA.

When replacing discontinued CBS250-24P-4X-NA units, the end-of-sale milestone of October 29, 2024 makes the migration a hardware procurement decision rather than another order for the same regional model. Inventory endpoint connections, uplink media, and configuration requirements first; specify the replacement hardware and a separate migration plan before issuing the purchase order.
When several small offices need a common management approach, the embedded Cisco Business Dashboard probe removes the requirement for a separate onsite probe appliance or virtual machine. Establish how each location will join the management environment, who will hold administrative access, and which onboarding workflow must accompany the hardware order.
When a staging bench must examine endpoint traffic before deployment, port mirroring can send traffic from four source ports to one destination port. Reserve the analyzer connection in the test layout rather than treating every connection as an endpoint attachment, and specify the monitoring arrangement and staging configuration before the purchase order.
More than 195W endpoint power
The shared endpoint power allocation stops at 195W. C1200-24FP-4X provides 375W with the same access-port count and uplink configuration, but that higher-budget model uses a fan.
Multigigabit copper endpoint connections
Fixed copper access ports stop at 1GbE; the 10G interfaces are SFP+ uplinks, not higher-speed RJ-45 access connections. Multigigabit endpoints cannot negotiate their higher copper speeds.
Dynamic IPv4 route exchange
IPv4 routing supports static routes rather than dynamic route exchange, with a ceiling of 32 routes and 16 IP interfaces. Networks requiring learned routes need a different routing-capable switch.

C1200-24P-4X identifies a Catalyst 1200 switch: C1200 names the series, 24 identifies the copper access-port count, P denotes PoE+ access ports, and 4X identifies four 10G SFP+ uplinks. The configuration includes a 195W shared PoE budget; the part number contains no separate network-license suffix.
C1200-24P-4X supports a web UI over HTTP/HTTPS, CLI over SSH/Telnet or RJ-45/USB-C console, Cisco Business Dashboard, the Cisco Business mobile app, and SNMP. An external USB Bluetooth dongle also enables browser or CLI access. Dashboard management can use the embedded probe; specify the preferred access method before staging.
195W is the shared PoE budget of C1200-24P-4X, distributed across 24 PoE+ access ports. Each powered port can provide up to 30W, subject to the remaining allocation. The aggregate budget cannot sustain every port at its individual maximum, so endpoint demand must be totaled before deciding how many powered devices to connect.
C1200-24P-4X has four fixed SFP+ uplinks supporting 10G and 1G operation. SFP-10G-SR provides a supported 10G multimode-fiber option, while SFP-10G-LR provides a supported single-mode-fiber option reaching 10 km. Optics are ordered separately; match both ends of the link and select the fiber type before adding transceivers to the purchase order.
C1200-24P-4X provides static IPv4 routing with 32 routes and 16 IP interfaces, placing the switch in the Layer 2+ category. Physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces, and loopback interfaces can carry routed interfaces. This is a static-routing model rather than a dynamic-routing access switch.
C1200-24P-4X uses an internal AC supply accepting 100-240V at 50-60 Hz, without a second internal supply option. Worst-case consumption including PoE reaches 240.4W at 110V or 236.3W at 220V. Size the AC circuit for switch input draw rather than treating the endpoint power allocation as total wall consumption.
C1200-24P-4X is a full-width 1U rack-mount switch measuring 445 mm wide, 299 mm deep, and 44 mm high, with a weight of 3.68 kg. The package includes mounting brackets. RCKMNT-1RU-1K= is the compatible rack-mount kit when replacement mounting hardware is required for the order.
The Catalyst 1200 24-port PoE+ switch C1200-24P-4X has 1 GB of DRAM, 512 MB of flash, and a 1.5 MB packet buffer. The packet buffer is shared dynamically across all ports rather than dedicated to each interface. Switching performance reaches 128 Gbps and 95.23 Mpps for 64-byte packets.
Catalyst 1200 supports STP, RSTP, MSTP, LACP, 255 active VLANs, and eight hardware queues for traffic control. Link aggregation supports four groups with eight active ports per group. Ingress policing and egress shaping control traffic rates, while the 8000-entry MAC table supports address learning across the configured network segments.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 1200. C1200-24P-4X remains separate from discontinued Cisco Business 250 models for which it is a migration option. Predecessor sale and support milestones must not be applied to this model when planning replacement purchases or support coverage.
C1200-24P-4X replaces CBS250-24P-4X-AR, CBS250-24P-4X-AU, CBS250-24P-4X-EU, CBS250-24P-4X-JP, CBS250-24P-4X-NA, CBS250-24P-4X-SP, CBS250-24P-4X-TW, and CBS250-24P-4X-UK, whose end-of-sale date was October 29, 2024. C1200-24P-4X also replaces CBS250-24P-4X-IN, which reached end of sale January 31, 2025. These are discontinued regional predecessor models; their lifecycle dates do not govern the replacement switch.
C1200-24P-4X provides a 195W shared PoE budget, while C1200-24FP-4X provides 375W for the same number of powered access connections. The distinction is aggregate endpoint power, not a higher per-port PoE class. The 195W model suits lower combined demand; the 375W model accommodates larger combined powered-device requirements.
C1200-24P-4X carries four 10G SFP+ uplinks, whereas C1200-24P-4G carries four 1G SFP uplinks. Both retain Gigabit PoE+ copper access connections and a 195W shared endpoint power budget. Choose the 4X configuration for 10G upstream connections; the 4G configuration fits installations retaining 1G fiber uplinks.
C1200-24P-4X has 24 Gigabit PoE+ access ports, while C1200-48P-4X has 48. Both configurations provide four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks. The 24-port model fits a smaller endpoint inventory; the 48-port model consolidates more copper access connections into one chassis when the purchase requires greater connection density.
ORM Systems offers C1200-24P-4X new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on refurbished units. Cisco's separate hardware warranty is limited lifetime. Every condition includes 30-day returns; terms apply. Refurbished units are inspected, bench-tested, firmware verified, and wiped to factory default.
