C1200-24T-4G combines fanless cooling, 24 non-PoE Gigabit Ethernet access ports and four fixed 1G SFP uplinks in a rack-mount 1U chassis. Layer 2+ functionality serves small-business networks requiring VLAN segmentation and limited static routing. The Catalyst 1200 connects computers, printers and servers whose power comes from a separate source, keeping endpoint power outside the switch purchase. The neighboring C1200-24P-4G configuration adds PoE+ for powered endpoints. This Gigabit access switch with SFP uplinks keeps copper endpoint connections separate from fiber connections toward the rest of the network. Its configuration suits an office connection schedule that requires Ethernet connectivity without supplying power to attached devices.
C1200-24T-4G price for new stock is $467.25, a 22.2% saving from the Cisco list price of $600.75. C1200-24T-4G refurb price is $204.75. C1200-24T-4G is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

56 Gbps switching capacity supports traffic across the copper and fiber interfaces through a nonblocking switching fabric. 41.67 Mpps forwarding at 64-byte packet size provides a packet-rate reference alongside bandwidth. 32 static IPv4 routes and 16 IP interfaces bound the routing configuration. C1200-24T-4G carries 1 GB of DRAM and 512 MB of flash for its customized Linux OS. A dynamically shared 1.5 MB packet buffer serves all ports, while the MAC table accommodates 8000 addresses. STP/RSTP/MSTP provide switching-loop control, and LACP supports four aggregation groups with eight active ports per group. Administrators can configure the unit through its web interface or CLI, with Cisco Business Dashboard and the Cisco Business mobile app providing additional management paths. 14.2W maximum system consumption provides a reference for electrical circuit sizing rather than endpoint power allocation. Operation from -5°C to 50°C establishes the environmental limits for installation.
ORM Systems offers C1200-24T-4G new sealed or certified refurbished, with new orders carrying up to 3-year extended warranty and certified refurbished orders up to 1 year; returns cover every condition for 30 days, with terms applying. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with every port checked for rated-speed links and optics bay recognition checked, firmware verified, and configuration wiped to factory default. Specify the condition, quantity and required accessories on the purchase order, keeping ORM coverage separate from Cisco's limited lifetime return-to-factory hardware warranty. Enterprise and volume orders can use accepted POs, Net-30 for government, RMA with advance replacement, and regional stock and RMA handling across the UK, EU, US and MEA.

When replacing a discontinued CBS250-24T-4G-NA, the October 29, 2024 end-of-sale milestone provides a procurement reason to move to its designated replacement. Inventory the existing fiber connections and endpoint power arrangements before preparing the migration order, then specify the required condition and accessory quantities.
When several small-business sites need the same management approach, Cisco Business Dashboard can use the switch's embedded probe instead of a separate probe appliance. Agree on onboarding and administrator access before ordering a common hardware configuration, and specify consistent condition and sparing quantities across the purchase order.
When a deployment requires traffic inspection before release, port mirroring can send traffic from four source ports to one destination port. Reserve the monitoring connection during staging, identify the traffic to capture, and specify CAB-CONSOLE-USB-C= for the local console connection before bench preparation begins.
10G uplinks to distribution
C1200-24T-4G limits each SFP uplink to 1G. C1200-24T-4X provides four 10G SFP+ uplinks while retaining 24 Gigabit copper access ports.
Ethernet power for attached endpoints
C1200-24T-4G supplies no endpoint power. C1200-24P-4G provides 24 PoE+ ports with a shared 195W budget for installations requiring Ethernet-delivered power.
More than 32 static routes
C1200-24T-4G supports 32 static IPv4 routes and 16 IP interfaces. A routing plan exceeding either ceiling cannot be implemented within these limits.

C1200-24T-4G identifies a Catalyst 1200 switch with 24 non-PoE 10/100/1000 copper ports and four Gigabit SFP uplinks. C1200 names the series, 24 gives the access-port count, T denotes the unpowered copper configuration, and 4G identifies the four 1G SFP uplinks. The model is rack-mountable.
C1200-24T-4G supports a web UI, CLI over SSH or Telnet, RJ-45 and USB-C console access, Cisco Business Dashboard, and the Cisco Business mobile app. SNMP provides another management interface. Dashboard management can use the embedded probe rather than requiring a separate probe appliance at the site.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 1200. C1200-24T-4G remains available for ordering, so predecessor retirement dates do not describe this model's lifecycle. Treat the purchased switch and the discontinued equipment it replaces as separate assets when planning support and replacement schedules.
ORM Systems offers C1200-24T-4G new sealed or certified refurbished, with separate ORM coverage from Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty. ORM's new warranty is up to 3-year extended; certified refurbished coverage is up to 1 year. Returns cover every condition for 30 days; terms apply. Cisco's warranty uses return-to-factory replacement.
C1200-24T-4G replaces CBS250-24T-4G-AR, CBS250-24T-4G-AU, CBS250-24T-4G-EU, CBS250-24T-4G-JP, CBS250-24T-4G-NA, CBS250-24T-4G-SP, CBS250-24T-4G-TW, CBS250-24T-4G-UK, CBS250-24T-4G-IN and CBS250-24T-4G-BR. These are discontinued regional predecessor models. Match the complete older PID when preparing a refresh order, then review the existing fiber connections and separately powered equipment before specifying the replacement quantity and accessories.
C1200-24T-4G uses an internal universal AC power supply accepting 100-240V AC at 50-60 Hz. Supply power from an AC outlet rather than an Ethernet power source. Worst-case system consumption reaches 14.2W, so size the electrical circuit for the switch and separately powered endpoints.
C1200-24T-4G supports GLC-SX-MMD for multimode fiber and GLC-LH-SMD for single-mode fiber on its 1G SFP uplinks. GLC-SX-MMD reaches 550 m; GLC-LH-SMD reaches 10 km. Specify the transceiver PID for each connection and match the remote interface and fiber type before placing the order.
The Catalyst 1200 supports static IPv4 routing with 32 routes and 16 IP interfaces, giving C1200-24T-4G limited routed-access capability. Interfaces can be physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces, or loopbacks. Confirm the required subnet and route counts before treating this switch as the site's routing device.
C1200-24T-4G fits a full-width rack as a 1U switch, measuring 445 mm wide, 240 mm deep and 44 mm high. The unit weighs 2.63 kg. RCKMNT-1RU-1K= is the compatible rack-mount kit; specify RCKMNT-1RU-1K= when replacement mounting hardware is required for the order.
C1200-24P-4G provides PoE+ on 24 access ports with a shared 195W budget, while C1200-24T-4G does not supply endpoint power. Both have four 1G SFP uplinks. Choose the unpowered model for externally powered equipment; the PoE+ version suits endpoints requiring power through their Ethernet connections.
C1200-24T-4X has four 10G SFP+ uplinks, while C1200-24T-4G has four 1G SFP uplinks. Both retain 24 non-PoE Gigabit copper access ports. The 4G model suits a Gigabit uplink specification; the 4X model is the relevant variant when each uplink must run at 10G.
C1200-48T-4G doubles the copper access-port count to 48 compared with 24 on C1200-24T-4G. Both configurations retain four 1G SFP uplinks and omit PoE. The 24-port model fits the smaller connection schedule; the 48-port version suits purchase orders requiring more copper endpoints in one chassis.
