IE-2000-16TC-G-E is a managed industrial access switch with sixteen 10/100 copper access ports, two fixed Gigabit combo uplinks and two additional 100 Mbps SFP uplinks. LAN Base provides Layer 2+ operation with IPv4 static routing, while the non-PoE hardware connects separately powered endpoints. The Industrial Ethernet 2000 series supports DIN rail installation in industrial enclosures and connections to automation equipment. Each combo uplink uses either its copper connector or its SFP cage, not both simultaneously. The discontinued IE-2000-16TC-G-L carries LAN Lite instead of LAN Base. This configuration separates Fast Ethernet endpoint connections from Gigabit aggregation without requiring a removable uplink card.
IE-2000-16TC-G-E price for new stock is $868.35, a 70.5% saving from the Cisco list price of $2,946.00. IE-2000-16TC-G-E refurb price is $437.33. IE-2000-16TC-G-E is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

7.6 Gbps switching capacity and 5.66 Mpps forwarding support the fixed interface configuration; the forwarding figure applies to 64-byte packets. A 2 MB egress buffer accommodates queued traffic, while 8000 MAC entries and 1005 VLANs define switching scale. IE-2000-16TC-G-E carries 256 MB DRAM and 64 MB onboard flash for its operating software and configuration. IPv4 static routing is included with LAN Base; OSPF and EIGRP require IP Lite rather than the supplied license. IEEE 1588 PTPv2 supports clock synchronization for industrial applications. Management includes browser-based Device Manager and the Cisco IOS CLI, with local console connections available independently of network access. Dual DC feeds accept primary and secondary power sources; separate upstream sources are necessary when the installation requires power-source redundancy.
ORM Systems offers IE-2000-16TC-G-E new sealed and certified refurbished; refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, rated-speed port links, clean boot and optics bay recognition, with firmware verified and configurations wiped to factory default. Specify the condition and accessories on the PO: ORM warranty is up to 3-year extended for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units, with 30-day returns on every condition, terms apply. Cisco's original five-year limited hardware warranty is bounded by July 31, 2029. Enterprise and volume orders can use accepted POs, Net-30 for government and RMA with advance replacement.

When a control cabinet is being revised, the enclosure layout must accommodate more than the switch body. Installation requires 50.8 mm clearance at the top, bottom, sides and front. Check neighboring equipment, wire routing and access to the connectors before specifying the cabinet arrangement on the PO.
When maintenance spares must serve several operating regions, IE-2000-16TC-G-E orders can align stock and RMA handling across the UK, EU, US and MEA. Keep the required condition and regional handling explicit on the PO so replacement stock is ordered against the site's procurement requirements.
Gigabit connections for every copper endpoint
The sixteen dedicated copper access ports stop at 100 Mbps. IE-3100-18T2C-E provides eighteen Gigabit copper access ports, so migration also changes dedicated port density.
PoE power for connected endpoints
IE-2000-16TC-G-E supplies no PoE output. Endpoints requiring power through their Ethernet connection need a PoE-capable switch or a separately specified power arrangement.
Dynamic routing under the supplied license
LAN Base includes IPv4 static routing, not OSPF or EIGRP. Those protocols require IP Lite, and the corresponding upgrade licenses are discontinued.

IE-2000-16TC-G-E identifies an Industrial Ethernet 2000 switch: 16TC specifies sixteen Fast Ethernet copper ports, G identifies Gigabit SFP-or-copper uplinks, and E identifies LAN Base. The configuration also includes two Fast Ethernet SFP ports. The part number does not identify a PoE-powered endpoint configuration.
Industrial Ethernet 2000 supports Web Device Manager, Cisco IOS CLI through console, SSH or Telnet, SNMP, Cisco Network Assistant, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco Prime LMS and Cisco Catalyst Center. Industrial management also supports CIP-based tools and PROFINET through STEP 7. Centralized subscription entitlements remain separate from LAN Base.
IE-2000-16TC-G-E reached end of sale on July 26, 2024, and its last date of Cisco support is July 31, 2029. Software maintenance ended July 26, 2025; security vulnerability support ends July 26, 2027. The replacement is IE-3100-18T2C-E.
ORM Systems offers IE-2000-16TC-G-E new sealed and certified refurbished, with up to 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on refurbished units. Returns cover every condition for 30 days, terms apply. Cisco's original five-year limited hardware warranty cannot extend beyond July 31, 2029.
IE-2000-16TC-G-E includes LAN Base; Catalyst Center DNA Essentials is a separate subscription with a 1-year minimum term for more than twelve ports. Subscription ordering and renewal end December 11, 2026. Enhanced LAN Base and IP Lite upgrade licenses are discontinued, so existing upgraded entitlements must be identified separately.
IE-2000-16PTC-G-E supplies PoE or PoE+ on four access ports, while IE-2000-16TC-G-E supplies no endpoint power. Both models are discontinued. The PoE version serves installations requiring power over the access cable; the non-PoE version serves endpoints with their own power supplies.
IE-2000-16TC-G-E includes LAN Base, while IE-2000-16TC-G-L includes LAN Lite. Both models are discontinued. LAN Base adds IPv4 static routing and additional switching, security and management functions. Existing installations requiring those functions use the LAN Base version; LAN Lite serves the more limited switching requirement.
IE-3100-18T2C-E provides Gigabit copper access instead of the Fast Ethernet access on IE-2000-16TC-G-E, with eighteen dedicated copper ports rather than sixteen. The replacement suits Gigabit endpoint refreshes; the discontinued model suits like-for-like maintenance of existing Fast Ethernet installations that retain their original connection requirements.
IE-2000-16TC-G-E accepts primary and secondary external DC feeds through DC-A and DC-B. Either feed can power the switch, and the higher-voltage source supplies power when both are operational. Independent upstream sources are required for source redundancy; the arrangement is not a pair of internal removable power supplies.
IE-2000-16TC-G-E does not include OSPF or EIGRP under LAN Base; the supplied routing capability is IPv4 static routing. OSPF and EIGRP belong to IP Lite. Because the corresponding upgrade licenses are discontinued, an order requiring dynamic routing must identify an existing valid upgraded entitlement rather than assume LAN Base includes it.
