IPv4 static routing is included with LAN Base; OSPF and EIGRP require IP Lite, while L2NAT requires Enhanced LAN Base or IP Lite. IE-2000-16PTC-G-E carries 256 MB of DRAM and 64 MB of onboard flash, separating working memory from firmware storage. A 2 MB egress buffer holds queued traffic, and the family supports 8000 unicast MAC addresses and 1005 VLANs. STP, RSTP, MSTP and LACP provide Layer 2 topology and aggregation controls, while REP supports industrial ring arrangements. IEEE 1588 PTPv2 is enabled on this configuration for clock synchronization. These software capabilities do not change the native Fast Ethernet access-port speed or turn the fixed uplinks into a removable network-module bay.

When a panel changes from conventional PoE devices to PoE+ endpoints, PWR-IE65W-PC-AC= supports four PoE ports or two PoE+ ports. Do not treat external sources as interchangeable accessories. Record each endpoint’s requested power, distinguish switch power from endpoint power, and specify the corresponding external source before issuing the purchase order.
When a spare needs removable configuration storage, SD-IE-1GB= adds a ruggedized SD card that is not included by default. Separate the hardware-condition selection from the backup-media requirement, and agree which configuration will be loaded after delivery. Include SD-IE-1GB= as a separate accessory on the purchase order.
When cabinet deployment combines high ambient temperature with maximum PoE+ loading, the powered-port operating ceiling is 65°C when all four ports supply 30W each, subject to the enclosure limits. Review airflow and endpoint loading together. Specify the cabinet conditions and powered-port loading before approving the hardware purchase order.
Gigabit speed on every access port
The access ports are limited to 100 Mbps. IE-3200-8P2S-E provides Gigabit access, but changes the access-port count from sixteen to eight.

Only four access ports support PoE+. IE-3200-8P2S-E provides eight PoE+ access ports, but the replacement has eight access ports rather than sixteen.
OSPF with the included license
LAN Base includes IPv4 static routing, not OSPF. IP Lite upgrade licenses are discontinued, with no replacement license available for this generation.
