IE-2000U-4T-G

IE-2000U-4T-G is a fanless, managed Layer 2 industrial switch with four 10/100BASE-T access ports and two fixed 10/100/1000BASE-T copper uplinks. The non-PoE chassis mounts on a DIN rail and runs the LAN Base image, placing it in the Industrial Ethernet 2000U series for utility and energy networks. Programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, and intelligent electronic devices connect through copper Ethernet rather than optical interfaces. Unlike the discontinued IE-2000U-4TS-G, which uses fiber uplinks, this configuration keeps both upstream connections on RJ-45. Cisco IE 2000U supports substation communications with traffic classification for SCADA and GOOSE messaging. Its fixed port arrangement has no optical expansion bay, so a fiber connection requires different hardware rather than an additional network module.

15W maximum consumption sets the switch load when sizing the external DC source and enclosure power distribution. An 8000-entry unicast MAC table supports address learning, while 1005 VLANs provide the segmentation ceiling. A 2 MB egress buffer holds queued traffic, with configurable queue bandwidth and ingress policing available for traffic control. IE-2000U-4T-G includes 256 MB DRAM for its operating software and configuration processes. RSTP, Resilient Ethernet Protocol, and FlexLink support redundant Ethernet topologies without dedicated hardware stack connections. DHCP snooping, dynamic ARP inspection, and IP source guard restrict unauthorized traffic behavior; RADIUS and TACACS+ provide authentication integration. Cisco IOS management includes a CLI, Cisco Configuration Professional, and SNMP for integration with existing management stations. LAN Base does not include OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, or BGPv4 routing, so those protocols must not be assumed to be available on an unchanged LAN Base installation.

Specify IE-2000U-4T-G quantities, new sealed or certified refurbished condition, and required power accessories on the purchase order. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on, POST, every copper port linking at rated speed, and clean boot; firmware is verified and configuration wiped to factory default. ORM warranties cover new orders for up to 3 years extended and certified refurbished orders for up to 1 year, with 30-day returns on every condition, terms apply; Cisco's separate five-year limited hardware warranty is subject to entitlement and ends no later than July 31, 2029.
