An automation cabinet needing additional copper connections can extend the base switch with two IEM-3000-8TM= modules, producing 24 Fast Ethernet access ports. Expansion modules require power-off installation rather than live insertion. Specify both IEM-3000-8TM= modules, the complete assembly space, and the installation shutdown before issuing the purchase order.
A control-cabinet rollout must reserve ventilation space around the installed assembly, not just its physical footprint. Allow 105 mm above and below, 90 mm on the exposed side, and 65 mm in front.
