Line-rate forwarding across all ports and packet sizes supports the installed interfaces without a packet-size-specific forwarding limitation. OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and ISIS provide dynamic routing under Network Advantage. IE-3400-8P2S-A carries 4 GB of DRAM and 1.5 GB of user-accessible flash for its operating environment. 47W chassis consumption excludes PoE output, so external supply sizing must account for endpoint demand separately. WebUI supports browser-based configuration, while CLI and SNMP access accommodate operational administration.

When expansion adds more powered endpoints, IEM-3300-16P= supplies 16 additional PoE/PoE+ ports within a 480W system budget. Build an endpoint power schedule rather than assuming that adding ports adds unrestricted power. Specify the expansion module and size the external supply before issuing the PO.
When an industrial cabinet needs additional fiber connections, IEM-3400-8S= adds eight SFP ports without replacing the base switch. IE-3400-8P2S-A identifies a Catalyst IE3400 industrial switch: IE-3400 identifies the family, 8P denotes eight Gigabit PoE/PoE+ copper ports, 2S denotes two Gigabit SFP ports, and A denotes Network Advantage. Those segments identify the base configuration, not an installed expansion module or optional subscription.
