IE-3010-16S-8PC uses 256 MB DRAM and 1 GB SD flash, with 128 MB enabled. LACP supports aggregated links, while IGMP snooping controls multicast forwarding. Cisco IE 3010 stores its software image and configuration on removable SD storage for transfer during chassis replacement.

When powered endpoints must stay active during a supply failure, distinguish priority from total port availability. Any four PoE ports can be assigned high priority; the remaining four lose power when one supply fails. Specify endpoint priorities before the PO.
When replacing a failed chassis in an existing installation, configuration transfer depends on the removable SD card. The software image and configuration reside on that card. Specify SD-IE-1GB= where a spare card is required, and check the staged configuration before ordering.
Gigabit speeds on access ports
Fast Ethernet access limits endpoint links to 100 Mbps. IE-9310-16P8S4X-E provides Gigabit access, but changes the mix to 16 PoE+ copper ports and eight fiber ports.

IE-3010-16S-8PC identifies the Industrial Ethernet 3010 configuration with 16 Fast Ethernet SFP ports and eight Fast Ethernet PoE copper ports. Two dual-purpose Gigabit uplinks complete the configuration.
IE-3010-16S-8PC supports browser-based Express Setup and HTTPS access, Cisco IOS CLI through RJ-45 or USB console connections and remote SSH or Telnet, SNMP management, and Cisco Prime LMS.
IE-3010-16S-8PC is discontinued, with end of sale on December 10, 2019, and Cisco support ending December 31, 2024. Cisco hardware service has ended.

IE-3010-16S-8PC delivers up to 15.4W per PoE port. Two supplies support all eight powered ports; a supply failure removes power from the four low-priority ports.
