MS125-24P-HW is a cloud-managed Layer 2 access switch with 24 Gigabit RJ-45 PoE+ ports, four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks and a rack-mount chassis for branch wiring closets. The MS125 series uses Meraki dashboard management for configuration and monitoring rather than a local CLI, so the hardware belongs on networks standardized around Meraki cloud operations. Its 370W PoE budget is allocated across the powered access ports for phones, cameras and wireless access points, while the fixed SFP+ uplinks connect to aggregation or distribution. As a Meraki MS125 switch, it suits refresh projects where dashboard templates, event logs and remote diagnostics are already part of the operating model. MS125-24-HW keeps the same 24-port and 4 x 10G SFP+ layout without PoE+.
MS125-24P-HW price for new stock is $682.50, a 50% saving from the Cisco list price of $1,365.00. MS125-24P-HW refurb price is $437.33. MS125-24P-HW is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

128 Gbps switching capacity and 95 Mpps forwarding rate support line-rate Layer 2 access switching on the 24-port model. 370W available PoE/PoE+ power is shared across the powered RJ-45 ports, with 28W idle draw and 426W full-load draw from the fixed internal AC supply. MS125-24P-HW supports STP, RSTP, 802.1Q VLAN operation up to 4094 VLANs, LACP with up to eight ports per aggregate, IGMP snooping, port mirroring and flow control. The 24-port models provide 16000 MAC forwarding entries and jumbo frames up to 9578 bytes. Management runs through the Meraki cloud dashboard, with SNMP and SYSLOG available for integration. Virtual Stacking groups ports for dashboard administration; the switch has no physical stacking ports and no Layer 3 routing protocol set.
Order MS125-24P-HW in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, with the Enterprise license term and any SFP+ optics specified on the same PO. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with firmware verified, configuration wiped to factory default, PoE output checked under load on every powered port and SFP+ bay recognition tested. New hardware is eligible for up to 3-year extended warranty, certified refurbished hardware for up to 1 year, and every condition includes 30-day returns with terms applying. PO is accepted, Net-30 is available for government, RMA with advance replacement is available, and regional stock/RMA coverage spans UK, EU, US and MEA.

A branch closet with existing Meraki administration can standardize on 24 wired endpoints plus four 10G SFP+ uplinks. Include LIC-MS125-24P-xYR Enterprise licensing on the order and list the SFP+ optics required for each fiber or DAC uplink.
A mixed access edge for phones, cameras and access points can use the 24 PoE+ ports when the total powered load is sized against the shared 370W budget. Check endpoint wattage totals before the PO rather than assuming every port draws maximum PoE+ power.
A site rollout without local switch staging can use Meraki cloud provisioning so replacement hardware pulls its assigned configuration after connection. Specify the hardware PID, Enterprise license term and any 10G uplink optics together so the remote install kit is complete.
Physical switch stacking
MS125 uses Virtual Stacking for dashboard management rather than physical stack ports; use the MS225-24 series when an 80 GbE physical stack is required.
Dynamic Layer 3 routing
MS125 is a Layer 2 access switch with no routed access protocols; use Catalyst 9300-M when dynamic routing and Meraki dashboard management are required.
PoE++ or multigigabit endpoints
MS125-24P-HW provides Gigabit PoE+ access ports; use the MS150 series when endpoints require up to 60W PoE++ or mGig copper access.
Redundant power supplies
MS125-24P-HW uses a fixed internal power supply without redundant PSU bays; use the MS225 series where an optional redundant power supply is required.

MS125-24P-HW identifies an MS125-family hardware switch with 24 1G RJ-45 access ports, PoE+ on those ports and four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks. The HW suffix marks the hardware PID; the matching cloud license is ordered separately as LIC-MS125-24P-xYR.
MS125-24P-HW is managed through the Meraki cloud dashboard and web-based Meraki cloud management, not through a local configuration CLI. SNMP and SYSLOG are available for integration, while remote diagnostics include ping, traceroute, cable testing and packet capture from the dashboard.
MS125-24P-HW belongs to the MS125-24 product family now marked end-of-sale. Cisco Meraki support for the MS125 family is tied to the published end-of-support date of 28 March 2030, so lifecycle planning should separate resale availability from remaining cloud support.
MS125-24P-HW uses LIC-MS125-24P-xYR Enterprise license and support for Meraki cloud operation. MS licenses are available in 1-, 3-, 5-, 7- and 10-year terms, so the license term should be specified separately from the hardware line on the PO.
MS125-24P-HW provides 370W of available PoE/PoE+ power across 24 powered RJ-45 access ports. The budget is shared across connected devices, so total endpoint demand should be checked against 370W rather than assuming every port can draw the PoE+ maximum simultaneously.
MS125-24P-HW does not support physical stacking. The MS125 series supports Virtual Stacking in the Meraki dashboard, which groups switch ports for unified management, monitoring and configuration, but it does not add stack bandwidth or stack-member failover through dedicated stack cables.
MS125-24P-HW has four fixed 10G SFP+ uplink interfaces. The uplink slots are built into the switch rather than added through a module, and SFP+ optics or DACs should be ordered separately for the media and reach used in the uplink design.
MS125-24P-HW is a Layer 2 access switch and does not run Layer 3 routing protocols. The documented switching feature set includes VLAN trunking, STP, RSTP, LACP, IGMP snooping, port mirroring and access control features rather than OSPF, EIGRP or BGP.
MS125-24P-HW is a rack-mount 1U switch with included rack mounting screw kit. The chassis measures 44 mm high, 440 mm wide and 250 mm deep, so it fits standard 19-inch rack deployments where the shallow MS125 depth is acceptable.
ORM offers MS125-24P-HW new sealed or certified refurbished. Cisco Meraki lists lifetime MS hardware warranty tied to product lifetime and support ending 28 March 2030; ORM offers up to 3-year extended warranty on new units, up to 1 year on refurbished units and 30-day returns with terms applying.
MS125-24P-HW adds PoE+ with a 370W PoE budget where MS125-24-HW is the non-PoE 24-port model. Both use 24 Gigabit RJ-45 access ports and four 10G SFP+ uplinks; choose MS125-24P-HW for powered endpoints and MS125-24-HW for data-only drops.
MS125-48LP-HW carries 48 PoE+ access ports where MS125-24P-HW carries 24 PoE+ access ports. Both list a 370W PoE budget and four 10G SFP+ uplinks, so MS125-48LP-HW suits higher copper density while MS125-24P-HW fits smaller closets.
MS125-48FP-HW provides 48 PoE+ access ports and a 740W PoE budget where MS125-24P-HW provides 24 PoE+ access ports and 370W. Both use fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks; MS125-48FP-HW fits larger powered edges while MS125-24P-HW fits 24-port access closets.
