The Cisco UCS C220 M4 network adapter role is copper 10 Gb Ethernet expansion for server-to-switch links over RJ-45 Ethernet cable. C220 M4 accepts one PCIe option card in slot 1 with one CPU and two cards in slots 1 and 2 with two CPUs. C240 M4 uses PCIe riser slots and provides RJ-45 cabling for the same Intel X540 card. The card carries Ethernet and FCoE traffic on the 10GBase-T links. N2XX-AIPCI01 is the sibling for 10 Gb SFP+ optics instead of copper cabling.
