UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45 is the Intel Ethernet Server Adapter I350-T4V2, a four-port 1G RJ45 PCIe Ethernet Adapter for UCS C220 M6 and C240 M6 rack servers. Each port uses copper Ethernet at 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps or 1000 Mbps. The PCIe card also serves C220 M5, C240 M5, C480 M5 and S3260 M5. The Cisco C220 M6 network adapter fits Riser 1, 2 or 3; one-CPU systems do not install Riser 3. The ports connect to 10/100/1000BASE-T switch ports, with CAT5e cable for 1G links. For S3260 M5, the card sits in the PCIe SIOC path, and one PCIe adapter is selected per SIOC. UCSC-PCIE-IQ10GC is the related four-port 10GBase-T PCIe choice for C220 M6 builds that need 10G copper instead of 1G.

PCIe 2.1 x4 operation runs in x4, x8 and x16 slots, so the host slot width may exceed the active lanes. 32 virtual functions on the quad-port card provide eight virtual functions per port for SR-IOV partitioning. 5 W typical power, 0°C to 55°C operating temperature, 135.4 mm depth and 68.9 mm width set the server power and clearance match. UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45 uses the Intel Ethernet Controller I350 with Intel I/OAT, Energy Efficient Ethernet, checksum offloads, TCP segmentation offload, Receive Side Scaling and jumbo frames up to 9.5 KB. PXE and iSCSI remote boot serve network boot builds. Windows, Linux and VMware ESXi are the operating-system families named for the Intel iSCSI initiators. Full-height bracket is installed; low-profile bracket ships in the package.

A buyer replacing a failed quad-port copper card in a C220 M6 needs the same PCIe form factor, the Intel i350 controller and four 1000 Mbps RJ45 links. Before the PO, confirm Riser 1, 2 or 3 and the server generation on the chassis label.

UCSC marks a UCS C-Series or S-Series adapter, PCIE marks the PCIe form factor and IRJ45 marks Intel RJ45 copper. UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45= is the spare adapter form, and UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45-RF is Cisco-remanufactured.

UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45 fits C220 M6 Riser 1, 2 or 3 as an HHHL single-wide PCIe option card. One-CPU C220 M6 systems do not have Riser 3, so a third PCIe card position requires a two-CPU system. S3260 M5 uses one adapter per PCIe SIOC.
UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45 uses Cisco IMC and UCS Manager through the host platform. S3260 M5 configurations that use the approved SIOC layouts require Cisco IMC SW 3.1(3) and UCSM release 3.2(3) or later. Windows, Linux and VMware ESXi are named for Intel iSCSI initiators.

UCSC-PCIE-IQ10GC is a four-port 10GBase-T PCIe adapter, while UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45 is a four-port 1G RJ45 PCIe adapter. Choose UCSC-PCIE-IQ10GC for C220 M6 builds that need 10G copper ports. Choose UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45 for 10/100/1000 Mbps copper expansion on its named hosts.
UCSC-P-IQ1GC is Cisco-Intel I710-T4L 4x1GBASE-T with PCIe 3.0 x8, while UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45 is Intel i350 4x1GBase-T with PCIe 2.1 x4 operation. Choose the I710-T4L when the host build calls for that newer 1G PCIe adapter; choose UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45 for the named M6, M5 and S3260 M5 host list.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45. The adapter serves C220 M6, C240 M6, C220 M5, C240 M5, C480 M5 and S3260 M5. N2XX-ABPCI03-M3 stopped selling on 25 September 2017 and moved forward to UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45.
