MS350-48-HW is a cloud-managed Layer 3 access switch with 48 Gigabit Ethernet copper ports and four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks. The non-PoE configuration connects endpoints that use their own power supplies, rather than delivering power through Ethernet. Its rack-mount chassis belongs to the Cisco Meraki MS350 family and combines access connectivity with routing at the network edge. The uplinks are built into the chassis, so deployment does not require a removable uplink card. The discontinued MS350-48LP-HW differs by providing a shared 370W PoE budget for powered endpoints. For buyers retaining an existing Meraki environment, the distinction is whether endpoint power must come from the access switch or from a separate source.
MS350-48-HW price for new stock is $1,603.35. MS350-48-HW refurb price is $194.24. MS350-48-HW is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

176 Gbps switching capacity provides the switching fabric for the installed interfaces. 63W full-load consumption supplies an electrical-planning figure distinct from the rating of the installed MA-PWR-250WAC power supply. Static routing and OSPFv2 support routed access, while DHCP server and relay functions provide address-assignment options at the edge. LACP supports link aggregation, and STP/RSTP, BPDU guard and root guard provide loop-control safeguards. MS350-48-HW supports role-based administration, two-factor authentication, MAC-based RADIUS authentication and IPv4 ACLs for administrative and endpoint controls. The 48-port Gigabit switch also offers port mirroring and IGMP snooping for traffic observation and multicast filtering. SNMP integration connects monitoring to third-party network-management systems. Front-to-back MA-FAN-16K cooling supports chassis airflow, while the published 588000-hour MTBF can serve as an input to reliability planning.
MS350-48-HW is offered new sealed or certified refurbished; refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, rated-speed links on every port, clean boot, optics bay recognition, PSU status and fan status, with firmware verified and configuration wiped to factory default. Specify the condition, licensing and required accessories on the purchase order. ORM warranties are up to a 3-year extended term for new hardware and up to 1 year for certified refurbished hardware, with 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. For enterprise and volume orders, PO accepted, Net-30 for government and RMA with advance replacement are available, with regional stock and RMA across the UK, EU, US and MEA.

When multiple branches must join an existing Meraki environment, zero-touch provisioning avoids a separate local configuration workflow. Historical per-port usage and client fingerprinting support centralized acceptance checks after installation. Before the PO, identify the receiving organization, site assignments and the administrative roles that will commission each location.
When a refresh changes the gateway redundancy design, OSPFv2 and warm-spare operation cannot run concurrently on this switch. Stage the intended routing and failover arrangement before committing the production configuration. Specify which function the deployment requires and include that operating constraint in the technical acceptance criteria before the PO.
PoE-powered phones or access points
MS350-48-HW does not supply endpoint power. C9300-48P-M provides 48 PoE+ access ports, but its modular uplinks require a different uplink purchasing configuration.
Copper endpoints above Gigabit speeds
The 48 fixed copper access ports support 10/100/1000BASE-T, not multigigabit endpoint connections. The 10G SFP+ uplinks do not increase the speed of those copper access ports.
Cisco support beyond August 2030
MS350 support ends August 8, 2030. C9300-48T-M is the replacement for new purchases requiring a different lifecycle, with modular rather than fixed uplinks.

MS350-48-HW identifies the MS350 family, 48 Gigabit copper access ports and a hardware ordering item. The configuration is a cloud-managed Layer 3 switch with fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks and no PoE output. Enterprise cloud-management licensing is a separate purchase rather than a license tier encoded in this hardware identifier.
The Meraki MS350 is managed through the web-based Meraki cloud management platform, with SNMP integration for third-party monitoring. The browser interface provides centralized configuration and operational visibility. Remote diagnostics include cable testing, live packet capture, searchable event logs and configuration-change history, while firmware upgrades can be managed centrally.
MS350-48-HW is discontinued: the MS350 family reached end of sale on August 8, 2025, and support ends August 8, 2030. C9300-48T-M is its replacement. Retaining this model therefore requires a purchase and maintenance plan that accounts for the remaining support period rather than treating it as a current-generation order.
New sealed and certified refurbished MS350-48-HW units carry separate ORM warranties: new hardware has up to a 3-year extended warranty; certified refurbished hardware has up to 1 year. Both conditions have 30-day returns, terms apply. Cisco’s nontransferable lifetime hardware warranty covers the original purchaser and ends August 8, 2030.
MS350-48-HW uses a separate Meraki Enterprise license for cloud management, with a one-year minimum term. LIC-MS350-48-1YR is the one-year option; Enterprise terms also include 3, 5, 7 and 10 years. The hardware order does not replace licensing, and certified refurbished condition does not remove the cloud-management license requirement.
MS350-48-HW has four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks, so no removable uplink module is required. MA-SFP-10GB-SR supports a compatible 10G multimode fiber connection. Match the optical connection to the fiber installation and include the required MA-SFP-10GB-SR transceivers and fiber cabling when specifying that connection on the purchase order.
MS350 physical stacking supports eight members with 160 Gbps stack bandwidth. Each switch has two dedicated stacking connectors, separate from its access and uplink ports. One MA-CBL-40G-50CM is included; MA-CBL-40G-1M and MA-CBL-40G-3M provide longer cable options where the rack layout requires additional reach.
Yes, MS350-48-HW supports Layer 3 operation through static routing and OSPFv2, alongside DHCP server and relay functions. Warm-spare gateway redundancy is also available, but OSPFv2 and warm-spare operation cannot run concurrently. Select the intended routing and redundancy arrangement before using the switch as a production gateway.
Yes, MS350-48-HW supports an optional second MA-PWR-250WAC power supply; one MA-PWR-250WAC is the default configuration. Redundancy is therefore an additional purchasing choice rather than two supplies shipped as standard. Confirm the required MA-PWR-250WAC quantity on the order when the deployment calls for redundant internal power.
The MS350-48 configuration occupies 1U and measures 44 mm high, 485 mm wide and 478 mm deep, with a published weight of 5.83 kg. Its operating temperature range is 0°C to 45°C. Check rack depth, mounting arrangements and the intended ambient conditions before allocating installation space.
MS350-48-HW supplies no PoE, whereas MS350-48LP-HW provides a shared 370W PoE budget. The distinction determines whether connected endpoints need separate power. Both are discontinued MS350 configurations: the data-only model suits independently powered endpoints, while the LP configuration addresses powered endpoints within its shared budget.
MS350-48-HW provides 48 Gigabit copper access ports, while MS350-24-HW provides 24. This is a port-density difference rather than a different management approach. Both configurations are discontinued; the 48-port model fits larger endpoint counts, while the 24-port model fits installations requiring fewer copper access connections.
MS350-48-HW has four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks, while C9300-48T-M uses modular uplinks. C9300-48T-M is the replacement for the discontinued MS350 model and requires the uplink configuration to be specified separately. The older model suits retaining an existing MS350 installation; the replacement suits a new purchase needing selectable uplinks.
