WS-C4500X-24X-ES uses 4 GB of onboard memory and a universal Cisco IOS XE image whose activated license determines available functionality. WS-C4500X-24X-ES means a Catalyst 4500-X with 24 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports and Enterprise Services. The family segment identifies Catalyst 4500-X, 24X identifies the port configuration, and ES identifies the license tier. The hardware configuration also specifies front-to-back airflow and excludes power supplies.
