Overview
Cisco Catalyst 3850 series switches are network switches that support a variety of protocols, including full IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+), Cisco Universal Power Over Ethernet (Cisco UPOE), modular and field-replaceable network modules, RJ-45 and fiber-based downlink interfaces, and redundant fans and power supplies. Likewise, Cisco Catalyst WS-C3850-48P-E switches provide 48 Ethernet ports for connecting devices like computers, printers, and more. This makes it easy to expand your network. These switches support Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+), allowing you to power devices like IP phones and security cameras directly through the network cable. This eliminates the need for separate power sources, and some of the ports on these switches support multigigabit speeds, allowing you to accommodate devices that require higher bandwidth, like 802.11ac Wave 2 access points.
